Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Received a replacement router due to a defect in the original router. Support shows expired for replacement router. Netgear apparently does not support their routers after a defective one is replaced. This situation is unacceptable. I will no longer be a Netgear customer again!

I’ve tried several Modem/Router combos in the past and this one has finally made me happy. Not only is it “future proof” but comes with great security features you won’t find in your ISP provided device. Was worth the research to find this one. I’m very picky with my tech gear, so I doubt you will be disappointed.

CAX80 has been more stable with Mediacom than my previous modem/router. However, I turned off the smart connect as I think it created interference

We purchased this for our 3700 sqft, two story home. We have around 30 devices connected and 1g from Spectrum coming in. This has been by far the best option we’ve tried for amazing and extremely fast wifi though out the house. We previous tried the orbi mesh system and Google wifi that dropped multiple times a day.

I just upgraded from my old nighthawk. Router to my cax80 modem router going to say it does a lot better I’m now able to reach to the back of my house not losing any signal strength. So far I’m impressed

The instructions said to down load the app, but since I am an Xfinity customer I thought I knew better. After an hour of trying to sync through my Xfinity app and getting no where I downloaded the NETGEAR app and was up and running in about 5 minutes. This thing works like a breeze. I replaced my old modem and router that were about 7 years old. No more lags or freezing or drop service- I love this thing.

Went from a Motorola to this Netgear and my speeds at least doubled from multiple locations in my house hooked up to a hard line and Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi range is WAY better as well. If I could give this over 5 stars I would. Very happy customer here!

Waited for the CAX80. Thought about some other cheaper options, was previously running an older router modem combo that did the job. CAX80 plenty of channels, and speeds for remote working and gaming.
