Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Only wireless works now. Community support has no resolutions. Phone support it only 90 days. It appears that several people are having the same issues or had the same issues without resolution from Netgear.

My internet provider couldn’t help me but Netgear is above and beyond. Their service is 10/10 superb and this product improved my internet service by far. Don’t rent buy it . I highly recommend if you have a 800mbps or more plan

I used Xfinity internet and bought this modem/router to use with it. Setting up the modem was simple and only required me to download the nighthawk and xfinity app on my phone. I would give 5 stars if I did not get required to make a netgear account when using the Nighhawk app.

This was a big upgrade over my c7000. It wasn’t plug and play though. Xfinity wasn’t able to activate and I had to wait for a tech to come out.

This is the best modem/router I’ve ever owned. My favorite parts about it are the high level of adjustability the router setting provide you. I was able to turn off my 5ghz radio WiFi signal as well as decrease the strength of my 2.4ghz radio WiFi signal as needed. The WiFi 6 feature built into the router is top of the line and super fast. In addition, I did notice faster wired speeds with my 1.2 Gigabit internet speeds using this modem, and also this device has a very cool design. I also love the night hawk app that allows you to easily manage the router and modem. Overall, it’s worth the money and I have nothing bad to say about the CAX80.

I bought this router modem because I was having trouble logging into work from home with my old router modem due to security problems. This router worked great. Then a year and a half later it just quit working and had changed the wireless to a new name Broadcom with no security. No password, nothing. The Ethernet connection also was not working. After hours of working with net gear on line help. The unit could not be fixed. So I threw it in the trash and went back to my old unit that works fine. A 500 dollar electronic gadget should not break in such a short time. My old Motorola one has to be 8 years old and still ticking. The one before that was retired due to obsolete technology. After this experience I would never buy another net gear product

it works ok, but some devices i get errors than if i used my wired wifi. for example, the disney and paramount app do not work, only in a web browser
