Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Have only Had it set up for a short time and hooked it up to a gig survice to run all of my smart home devices. The Nighthawk CAX80 works great and I will be ready for any new technology that is coming out. Modem / Router combo is good for a small home and would sujest that if your home is large to look into just a modem with a mesh router like the Orbi AXE11000 Quad-Band WiFi 6E Router(RBRE960) to get the most out of you providers internet and covrage

Had to upgrade my existing cablemodem – the Nighthawk has been a perfect replacement, giving me much better range and extremely fast speeds. This is considering we have a brick house, still able to get solid signal outside.

It’s like supercharging your connection it is awesome, especially if you wish to hard wire other devices in the room where you have this extender. You don’t have to run a long wire from your primary router. Great addition to my Netgear network. It also helps if you are a gamer I have the Xbox series X and it helped once I added this device and I hard wired it in. If you don’t understand what it does exactly in layman terms it is basically a bridge to your other devices that have weak connectivity or are too far away from where your router is currently position in your house this device boost the area of coverage.

I recently had the pleasure of moving into a house with a lot of smart features, but the internet router was in the basement. I suppose this would work fine for light internet users, but as someone who works from home and enjoys streaming movies and games, the router WiFi wasn’t cutting it. We upgraded to this router, and our speeds doubled! We have fiber internet, and we were only getting 400mbps in the upstairs. Now, we get 800-900mbps upstairs. I also like that the app alerts me every time someone connects!

This router is magnificent and a perfect upgrade from my previous (portal). I run Iracing and stream at the same time and have still reduced ping and increased my upload and download speeds. It covers my 1500sq foot house at full bars. Definitely worth the price and then some!

Like what others have said this router is plagued by intermittent rebooting. Longest time I had without this issue was maybe 4 hours. Not only will does it drop your connection and reboot, but will continually do this until you disconnect power. Too many dropped MS Team meetings for me. I loved the speed, setup was easy but reliability is null.
