Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Our Nighthawk R7000P mysteriously couldn’t transmit beyond 30mbps on wifi, so I bought this one to replace it and our dated cable modem. A solid performer. We have 170mbps in our house now, easy to setup, easy to manage with the app. My Win 10 laptop had a hard time seeing the networks but after I knocked the transmit speed down to 54mbps all of a sudden one showed up! Oddly it could see other people’s 5G networks but not my own. Anyway, I love it. Hope you do too.

Had to replace a one year old AC1900 after a lightning strike. Only a 1800SF house. Working from home has us with (2) laptops, Aruba phone system, 2 wired desktops, 2 iPads, 3 iPhones, (2) smart watches, 4 Apple TV’s, (1 tied to a full on wired home theatre with lots of switchgear), Denon receiver, and security systems. We hover between 20-25 devices as the day progresses. I used to be pleased with the 300 Mbps down/15 up. I had modest hopes this would improve the performance and I wouldn’t be disappointed for spending more. Wow. I’m now getting 850Mbps/45. I laid in hammock at the end of our backyard (~75′ away) and was getting 300Mbps on the WiFi only iPad running a Comcast speed test! The router is at the front of the house so it’s really ~90′ through 2 courses of brick and concrete block! Wired and wireless have seen a drastic improvement in speed, and coverage. I can place Bose portable speakers anywhere in yard and stream music. This router is savage!

Overall. Hits over 1gbps on spectrum connections. There is a bit of issue with compatability with some devices and does disconnect and reconnect but it is a great device for gaming and streaming with no lag.
