Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

We were replacing an older Netgear nighthawk that was losing signal. This one was easy to set up and the range seems to be better than before. Even at 40 ft or so from the router we are still getting speeds of 110 download and 18 upload. If within 15 to 20 feet we can get about 700 download and 35 upload. A huge upgrade from before. Highly recommend this piece of equipment.

This router is, by far, the best router I have ever had. I will admit, it is a bit pricey. However, it’s worth every penny. The range is rated for 2,500sq.ft. and to some that may not be alot. However, I have noticed that I have great range and my speeds do not drop the further away i get from the router. I have solid speeds wether I am running a device wired or via wifi. I pay for a gigabit plan and it handles it without any issues. No fluctuating speeds. Its a strong constant connection. Also, the app that you can use for the router is a really cool feature. You can kick off devices or shut off wifi to it. Overall, this is an amazing router for those looking for something that is “future-proof” with outstanding reliability.
