Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Decided to purchase the Nighthawk Cable Modem as the quality of Suddenlink’s equipment was unbearable. Easy set up, very fast Wi-Fi paired with Cox internet. My home is 5,000 sqft and we have this paired with six Nighthawk satellites and there isn’t a dead spot in the house. We average or are averaging 968 mbps download speeds, and 43 mbps upload speeds, with only a 7-8 ping! Amazing Products!

Pros – higher bandwidth – reliable for 2000 Sq Cons – not satisfied with range. When I am on other corner of building the wifi range reduces. C7000 was better in range than this version. – problem with default login – admin – changing Local Ip and default router url was not easy.

Netgear app needs so much improvement compare to eero app. Security package is more expensive than eero secure too. App doesn’t have profile create option. Icons for IOT devices doesn’t look good. Other than the app, the modem itself is good
