Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The Netgear Nighthawk cable, modem, WiFi router was easy to install and set up. I appreciated the system password issued with the router was easy to remember and input throughout the process of setting up the router and connecting various devices. So far, the router is working as expected.

We purchased this router combo in hopes that we would be able to have a better household wi-fi connection. This has been a total game changer, literally! My son and husband play online games and have never been happier. We upgraded our internet too. Now our wi-fi is able to accommodate all the devices we use daily. Rokus, fire sticks, phones, tablets, work and school laptops, PlayStation and pc gaming. Wish we had done it sooner. We will save a ton on the equipment rental fee from our internet provider too.

The 1st one didn’t work but Netgear support was decent. Got it exchanged and the 2nd works fine…very fast if you have an AX connection

The router is fast and my internet service is good. However, the WiFi network has been more of a problem. After setting up my new WiFi network, I’ve had trouble connecting to my wireless printer and VoIP phone service.

I bought this to replace the previous modem router installed by our local internet provider which was not bad but i wanted to really experience higher speeds and stable connections so switched to this one not really disappointed with this upgrade

At first, the requirement for a mobile app to kick-off the modem install put me off. Why this integration was considered to be a good thing, I will perhaps never know. However, once I got the modem connected and configured, I was a very happy camper. Throughput is amazing. I only wish that Netgear takes my advice and creates modem backups in XML so that configurations from one modem to another can be quickly transferred. I am an IT consultant with my own domain. I have been doing this sort of thing for 22 years. Believe me when I tell you, This Modem Rocks!

This Netgear Nighthawk goes beyond my expectations. Not only is it a great router and mesh that provides my family with excellent coverage across many devices, but the extra tools that come with the app are extremely useful to me as the family network manager. I highly recommend this product and the services that are accompanying it. Thanx Netgear!

I have 1Gbps speeds through Xfinity. The CAX80 will only push 450 Mbps max. Netgear has tried to help many times with the internal settings but it does not help. This router is definitely not worth the money.

I’m not one to post reviews but, to get to the point, this Nighthawk modem is worth buying. It’s fantastic. It works beyond what you’d expect, and comes with security services that provide a new level of protection and peace of mind. Well worth the price. You will feel good about buying the Nighthawk. And ok, you have to agree it’s a great name. LOL

I have been using an older router that I though was a great one. After a few years, as my needs changed; it wasn’t that great. This new one has filled my needs as far and distance reached and speed of the network. Bravo!

I’ve had this extender for a few months, as well as a Netgear AX5400. My iPad is only 3 feet from the Extender and still is buffering and skipping. I purchased this to provide coverage in the back of my house, only 2,400 sq ft home. It does not work anywhere near as advertised. I have called tech support several times. They run a few tests and tell me it is fine. It is not fine. The Netgear app (not recommended) does not always find the Extender. I then need to reboot it and it finds it, for maybe a week or so. Not a good product at all.

This was the easiest wifi extender that I have setup. The app associated made this extender setup and use easy for a non tech person.

This product has a very easy setup, not to mention the range is outstanding.

Recently upgraded to the RAX120 with a CM700 modem amd cat8 ethernet cables. My internet is through Comcast and I am currently paying for their 600 mbps package, but with all my gear from Netgear, I regularly get about 700 with multiple devices streaming at once. Plus having the whole home covered without needing any extenders anymore has made a pretty big difference as well.

Too much speed lost between direct wired connection and WiFi. Up to 250 MBPS. WiFi is almost 400 less than incoming speed.
