Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

I was worried that connecting via an extension will take same bandwidth away, but not with this router. The extension is around 50 ft apart with two floor in between, still the connection is good.

Upgraded from a 2 year old small basic router that was also a Netgear. Didn’t think I needed to upgrade but spent the dollar anyways and this thing definitely carried its weight. I have been renting a private server and we have 3 platforms running games and have not had a single issue. So I’ve had the device for about weeks now and I love it. I’m a hard-core gamer and I also stream so it’s important to have a good connection. I live in a back house and I’m pretty far from the router in the main house. I Google the best extender and the nighthawk came up. So I bought it and it changed my life. I’m no longer disconnecting or dropping out of my games or streams. My gf also connects her work devices to the wifi while I play and we are both able to run wifi seamlessly with no drop outs. I would highly recommend this device to anyone that has a router that’s pretty far or not centralized in your house.
