Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

I had C7000 but a lot of times the internet just drop due to zoom calls or other high bandwidth. Once I called Xfinity and made the activation to the new router, no issue at all!

Bought the Netgear Nighthawk CA-80 to replace my Xfinity/Comcast cable modem since it is listed as compatible with the Xfinity wifi. The Nighthawk model CA-80 is both a cable modem and wifi router, so you can stop paying for cable company equipment. Super easy to install and it connected right away to the Xfinity Internet package. This model also can handle up to 8 streaming devices at one time and covers approximately 3,000 sq feet in your household. The wifi signal is strong in all rooms and on all devices while the kids are using it and I’m watching my Roku stuff upstairs. Well worth the money and it should last long enough (even buying refurbished) to more than pay for itself by eliminating the cable box rental.

I purchased this cable modem router to replace an older cable modem router I have been using for 5 years. This Netgear Nighthawk cable modem router (CAX80) is simply amazing. The instructions were simple to follow and I used the recommended Netgear App and Xfinity App to set it up. I was able to get setup in less than 15 minutes without having to call Xfinity support to set up my new router. I’m enjoying the netgear app testing my speeds, and managing my new cable modem router. The basic features of the app are helpful in letting me monitor my home internet. I’m very happy with the speeds I am getting from this router and the Wi-Fi 6 support. I give a 3 star because I can’t say that I really see a difference. When we watch netflix or something similar the video takes a while to load. The internet says its at full speed but still continues to be a problem. I really like the Netgear brand so Im trying to give it a try.

I chose this extender to use with my Netgear RAX200 router. I attempted to setup using the Netgear Nighthawk app on my iPhone. After three failed attempts with factory resets in beween, I setup using WPS. That worked flawlessly! The extender has been in service for about 10 days. It offers much high speed service where the router signal was reduced.

I use this as a perfect wireless network extender that connects directly to the WAP on my router. The WAP connected to my router is really fast, but doesnt have great coverage. Thats where the Mesh Range Extender from NETGEAR comes in. It extends my wifi capabilities (and adds wifi 6!) to the point where all my devices get over 200 mbps (from 20mbps) with gigabit ethernet.

I have been under the opinion that combined modem/routers are garbage because most provider devices truly are… I was skeptical that the CAX80 was finally one device that delivered the performance of separate devices, very happy with this product and it was a big improvement over my older devices, especially with Microsoft Teams video which was proving problematic in my guest house. A bit pricey, but I know I will have this for years to come!
