Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Bought this modem and router about a week ago. It came in a very efficient box with no extra wasted packing material. The package included the router and modem itself, a power cable, and then a connection cable. The set up was pretty easy. Directions were to download an app on my phone and then follow those directions. Worked wonderfully. My only issue at all was when I tried to contact Comcast as the directions advised. So far the actual product has been amazing. My internet speeds are finally up to what I was paying for. Have had no interruptions or issues at all. Great product!

Love the range and mesh network technology; one hiccup, for no apparent reason both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands had the same name as 5 GHz, hence some of my devices lost connection. Finally opened the Netgear app to realize the issue and corrected the name issue.

What can I say other than just awesome! The EAX80 was a breeze to add to the network with the Nighthawk app and my results have been more than I could have hoped for. Upgraded from a bridge that slowed everything down. With the extender my speed has over doubled! What use to take 6 hours to backup to my NAS now is less than an hour and a half! Thanks Netgear!

Cox cable is upgrading to Docsis 3.1so I upgraded my cable modem router to the Nighthawk CAX80. I used the Nighthawk app for setup and called Cox to finish the setup on their end. Setup was a breeze and after a firmware update I was up and running. I also setup the Nighthawk EAX80 mesh extender to the CAX80. That setup was even easier with the Nighthawk app. I didn’t have to call Cox for that setup. We get max upload and download speeds from our internet plan and we couldn’t be happier, 300 mbps download 30 upload. Zooms calls don’t lag and streaming content is spot on. I almost didn’t buy either one because of the negative reviews I read. The positive reviews outnumbered the bad ones, but I still had doubts. My doubts are over and Everything works well together. I would recommend both products based off of my positive experience with both items.

As a Multi-Family home this router is amazing! We have a total of 4 adults and 3 kids living in out home and the router is flawless. The amount of devices attached to this router is about 50 and i would say 25 are on at a time and this router never gets congested. i never see down time. 4k content runs flawlessly as my kids play on their tablets and I game on my PC. 10/10 Netgear has some on the best if not the Best home networking equipment i have ever owned.

Rax80 is a very nice, very fast router. I like the design of it. It looks very futuristic. Router is easy to setup using the Nighthawk app. I was using my internet in 10 minutes. Armor subscription is included for 30 days but you don’t have to renew it. It is very easy to disable armor in settings. Overall this is a solid router and I highly recommend it.
