Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The AX6000 Extender works great, it is a lot faster than my old Extender. WIFI 6 connects fast and it is very easy to setup.

Did not work as expected had to put it in the same room for it to connect to router and it did not extend the wifi signal beyond the routers area house is surround by brick one of the devices I wanted to connect was 5 ft from the extender had very low wifi signal unable to access extenders settings very disappointed if possible I would return it

This thing is a machine! I had a Netgear AC1750 and it was great, but 30 plus devices needing WiFi in my home the bandwidth just wasn’t there when there was heavy traffic on the network when you needed it the most. I had to also install a Netgear Powerline AC1000 to run my Ring Flood light because the AC1750 could get a strong or fast enough signal out. Now with this thing I have strong fast signals through the home and I don’t need to use the Powerline to do it which means lean and mean networking in my home! I love the nighthawk app I can see what’s connected and even shut connections off if they don’t get used often. I love checking my speed from a reliable source and I love that have all of this in a package that will last me for years and I am future proof for the foreseeable future. Wi-Fi 6 isn’t offered by your cable company yet and I have no monthly fees!

Heads up – at this time, this modem does not work with Wow internet, even though it’s approved for the ISP. Got to find this out after 12 hrs of trouble shooting and phone calls with two different different devices. That may get fixed, but I don’t have faith that things would stay fixed if they do correct the issues. Beware.

Didn’t buy it for fast speeds but more for mesh with an AX8 extender. Seems to be working well. Nighthawk app is better now but not perfect. Seems like the 5g channel doesn’t have the range I expected to the extender but given my slow internet it’s enough.
