Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

These range extenders are incredibly powerful. It took a few resets to get them configured correctly but I was able to connect 2 EAX80s to a Starlink modem without any problem. I chose to hardwire them but you can just as easily configure them wirelessly. Before even mounting and placing the equipment the range extender was dishing out almost 900 Mbps over wifi which is completely insane. They have a huge range as well. I can pickup a signal at the house, garage, shed and 300 feet farther out to the end of the driveway. I’m definitely happy with the purchase.

We upgraded our internet service and needed a router to keep up. We are supposed to be getting 400Mbps but old router only getting up to 120Mbps on iPhone 12 when standing right next to the router! This one can easily get in the 350-380Mbps range. Plus, we added the EAX20 extender and with that we can get up to 60Mbps way out beyond the yard into the far side of our detached garage (through brick walls). Setting up and integrating the EAX20 was super simple and fast with the Nighthawk app. Good value overall for this system.

We purchased the EAX80 Netgear Nighthawk Extenders for our church. We had trouble at first setting them up, but Netgear helped us set them up correctly for use in the future. We were able to get great coverage everywhere and the signal goes through the concrete walls perfectly! Full coverage!

Needs to be restarted once every few days. 5g connection tends to hang until you disconnect and reconnect. Decent range. Advertised features such as smart 5g / QoS are essentially unusable because of the issues the router experiences as a whole. Forums full of advice to roll back drivers and turn off those features.
