Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Bought two of these to extend to range of a 5G wifi 6 mobile hotspot. Works great, strong signal and nothing has dropped off or have seen any negative times. 5Gz can download at 100 Mbs, 2Gz at 50 Mbs, ping around 40, and jitter around 6. Very much satisfied.

I have been debating on getting my own modem/router or just keeping one from my ISP. You won’t be disappointed with this unit. The best part is that it is future proof with its WiFi 6. My internet provider is upgrading to 1.2G internet speed which makes this a solid purchase for all my future needs. What’s I like the best is the Netgear Armor Security. This very expensive, top of the line modem stopped working less than 5 months after purchase. Netgear claims that they don’t have any in stock at their warehouse so I will have to wait for a replacement modem under the manufacturer warranty.
