Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

I love the speed and consistent connection. My only complaint is that Circle does not work on here as if did on my other Netgear router, I almost want the old one back as I depend on Circle to control the kids internet

No problems with setup, Just plugged everything in and wad streaming right away. Fast, reliable for all my devices. I did think I would get better coverage from my last Netgear router and it was just similar which was a little disappointing.

Excellent product , fairly easy to install but took longer than expected. Probably due to not automatically going to the start install page and other minor glitches although materials implied differently. Overall its an excellent product providing solid WiFi service and wider coverage

This WiFi Extender is Awesome. It has increased my Internet speed, range, and strength throughout the entire house. Initial Setup was a little bit of a headache. I had to connect a Cat5 cable to the WiFi Extender from my PC in order to get everything installed and Setup. For some reason when trying to do the Setup Wirelessly it kept saying unable to located WiFi Extender. So if you have any issues trying to get it to Setup Wirelessly. Try connecting a Cat5 Cable and then you shouldn’t have any issues with the Setup.

Purchased in Dec. 2022. Has bugs. Unit turns off then on at random times. Internet provided help by suggesting disable/degrade some functions. That worked. Unit now only turns itself off about once a day for about 30 seconds. Nothing yet on Netgear’s site acknowledging this problem or when they intend to fix it. Otherwise unit appears to work as intended.

Newer router technologies enable this router to perform above our expectations! Speed was essential, as our kids needed it for virtual school, but also larger capacity for more people, more devices and more IoT devices. I am more than satisfied with this router. If I had another option, I would get a router in the same family but more capabilities. I would not go down in technical specs as our work, school and everything from home demands too much from the router.
