Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Instructions are not too clear. Called customer support, receive great customer service and step-by-step instructions to set up. Once connected, coverage is great! Bought for a wireless security cameras and connection improved instantly. Also, improved wifi connection for TV and all other items in house. It’s worth the money!

I live in a two story home with over 3500 sq. ft. of living space. I finally found a router that delivers a WIFI connection to anywhere in the home and at full signal. I also can now connect to my WIFI enabled garage door opener which is in a garage 100 feet away from my home.

I was excited to get this router although it was expensive. I have had this router for about 3 months now and it constantly disconnects, and loses connection several times a day. I have to reset the router often. I replaced my less expensive netgear AC1900 modem router with this one expecting a better network connection. Unfortunately, my less expensive netgear router worked much better. I am really disappointed for the price.
