Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Bought the ax6000 thinking I was upgrading my Wi-Fi from the standard spectrum router. Wi-Fi signal increased over the house but the nighthawk starts dropping internet throughout the day and we have to reboot it 2-3 times a day to use internet. Most inconvenient Wi-Fi I’ve ever had. Seems like the fan in our nighthawk might be bad, not turning on. Shouldn’t have to spend so much on a router that doesn’t perform

We had to upgrade modem-router after upgrading internet speed. The CAX80 did not disappoint. Worth the money, an investment for current internet speed and even for another upgrade (if provider adds more speed). You will not regret buying this because Netgear also has great customer technical support service.

this router actually maximizes, my super slow internet, for each device automatically selecting which frequency to use for best signal. I read that it covers up to 2500sqft. I can attest to that, my wifi covers my whole house front and back porch and even my garage and shop. The app makes it super easy to setup, and you can manage everything about the router through the app. Well worth the money, even if others see it as wasted on slow internet.

This was very easy to set up. The Wi-Fi is very extensive and excellent across a 2000 square foot home. Multiple devices can run at once it has plenty of ports to run ethernet cables for hard-wiring as well.
