Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

This is the best extender that I’ve purchased. Streaming is excellent

Very fast when paired to a computer with wifi 6. Need to upgrade my internet connection to take advantage of all the speed. Very strong connections through out the house.

I have a 2 story home and this product was perfect for getting wifi set up on my second floor. Speed is fantastic as well. Definitely recommend.

Setup was a breeze and love how fast it is. Extra perk to find out was it scans each device that gets connected so you know if it’s safe.

This extender is a decent one. It supports mesh mode. It does sometimes lose connectivity to wifi 6 or the usb devices connected to it and needs to be frequently restarted. This is annoying. Other than that, it is a pretty nice unit and works well.

Though it took me some time and lot of help from Netgear contact center, but after the set up, the modem router has been great. I dont even need my mesh which I was using previously

I purchased this modem to replace internet provider modem. Night and day difference. The modem has increased signal strength and setup was a breeze after an update of firmware.

I just set my new Netgear Nighthawk CAX80 modem/router up and it works great. It has super fast computer download speeds and the wireless TV streaming (Netflix) works seamlessly.

This modem/router is not as fast as the Motorola modem/router that I previously purchased. The only reason I switched to Netgear was because for some reason my Google Nest cameras would not connect to the motorolla.

This unit was easy to set up, and gives full coverage of our 3000 foot, two storey house, and well past the detached garage. Cell service is very poor at this location, and the strong Wi-Fi signal makes that a non-issue.

Bought this back in 2019 and it’s my biggest purchase regret ever. Having purchased it to guarantee a stable connection while gaming, it’s the worst router I’ve ever owned. It always disconnects while gaming leading to being kicked out in the middle of a match. This is while on a wired connection, on all ports, using different ethernet cables. It does tend to have issues with WiFi while streaming sometimes leading to buffering even at 1000mbps down speeds but it’s nothing compared to the dropping of connection while playing wired and is probably due to congestion during busy hours so I won’t fault the router for that, I love the WiFi 6. When people play on a wired connection, it’s because they want a stable connection that guarantees them the best performance and this product doesn’t deliver. No, don’t respond to this review linking me to a troubleshooting page. I want direct support regarding a product that has been defective since its launch and purchase. My email is attached to this review as it was mandatory, you can contact me there Netgear. First and last product from Netgear ever. I’ll never recommend Netgear products and should’ve instead opted for the highly recommended ASUS routers for gaming. To think this router had all the perfect features just to fail at it’s most important job in keeping a stable connection that should never drop and run 24/7. I don’t recommend buying this product at all. If you’re looking to even buy at this price point in the first place, you probably want or need all the features it had to offer but the pros don’t outweigh the cons of this router. Disappointing.

Hardware is great. App is helpful. Frustrated to find that not only is the Disney Circle software not bundled into the routers OS, but my existing Disney Circle box causes conflict with the router. Now I have to choose to return the device or stop managing my children’s access to online content. Frustrating to say the least.

We have a fairly large home and this router gets our 1 gig internet speeds to all devices. Also, it was very easy to setup!
