Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

I have been using EAX80 for about two weeks and been experiencing a lot of issues. After couple days uptime 5G connection is not available or even broadcasted. 2.5G speed broadcast from extender right, measured in front of device, is significantly lower than direct router broadcast from same location. Cannot debug as I do not see logs to access.

I want to get give it a higher rating but I went out of town and now that I’ve come back no matter what I do I can’t tell if it’s working and even when I reset it it won’t reconfigure and it’s not bringing up the extender setting anymore even though it shows everything looking like it’s working. Because of this and the difficulty I’m having with the Nighthawk app I currently cannot give a higher review…

Super fast and sleek looking modem. My internet speed was a little limited by my basic router. I game a lot and watch YouTube while playing so my speeds could barely keep up with that, but after getting this beast, my P can handle that and much more. The setup is easy and it works extremely well. Definitely should get one if you’re in the market for it.

it’s the best in the market! if you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired of your xfinity, att&t non-ethernet service (poor connection, connection cutting in and out, etc.) switch to this and get an ethernet wifi service using fiber technology (i.e. google fiber)! you’ll wish you’ve done this sooner!!!

Easy setup. I wish the advanced controls enabled access to features such as specifying DNS servers to provide local hosts. But this is a consumer grade product, not a business device.
