Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The install with the network app was a bit tricky, but finally got it up and running. Once installed, the internet was working amazingly and for quite a distance. I had dead zones in my house before but the Netgear fixed the problem. So glad my brother recommended this item.

Compared to my old cable router modem C7900, the CAX80 far exceeds expectations. The speeds of this device are able to keep up with heavy network loads. I own a few servers, many streaming devices and dozens of gaming computers which can easily overload the network with large sets of data. My old cable router modem would become unstable. Therefore the CAX80 is very stable and able to meet those heavy demands. I am connected with Spectrum as my ISP and hardly have any issues. Overall great device and it looks great!

Easy installation, using it as an access point connected via network cable, the best to set it up in my opinion. Wifi 6 is rock steady and fast I get over 600Mbts over wireless. Paired with USB nighthawk wifi 6 AC1900. Waiting on the nighthawk USB AXE3000. 5stars!! Not sure why I can’t change the 3 star rating on my review.
