Capable of throughput up to 6,000 Mb/s, the Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 Wi-Fi Router from Netgear supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), a wireless standard that allows for faster Wi-Fi speeds, more simultaneous upload and download streams, and greater energy efficiency for battery-powered wireless clients than previous Wi-Fi standards.
Equipped with four internal antennas, five 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN port, one 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet WAN port, and a pair of USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, the Wi-Fi 6-enabled Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access) and multi-user MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple Output) to deliver faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connections compared to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The router also boasts a Smart Connect feature that selects the best Wi-Fi band for your devices, allowing for a single network name for both wireless bands, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Installed this to replace an older AC extender. Installation was quick and simple. Speed improvement was 2-3x the older extender. This is paired with an AX50 router, and another AC mesh extender. Only problem is occasional loss of internet (not wifi signal) on iPhones and iPads – not on any of my PC products or IOT gadgets.

This extender worked perfectly to give the rest of my house great internet connection.

It works great, but had to contact tech support and also Comcast to get it going. It would be great if plug and play, but none are like that, that am aware of. It’s also thrifty to turn on only one box and not 2. I’m glad I bought it, though pricey.

I have the CAX modem/router and needed more range and channels to cover the rest of the house and all the connect devices. The range is significantly better than the R8000 router the RAX120 replaced. I have wifi connected garage door openers and the 5G signal is 70% to 75% in the garage, even after passing thru multiple walls to get there. The 2.4G is 95%. I actually get faster wifi speeds thru the router than I get thru the CAX combo too, I have spectrum gig speed.

I was looking for a modem router with the capability of Wi-Fi 6 and DOCSIS 3.1. NETGEAR provided me all in one with easy activation for Xfinity.

I’ve been using the Nighthawk WiFi Range Extender for a few weeks and haven’t had any problems. It was easy to install and set up and works as expected. It has extended the wifi from one end of my house to the other. Previously, I only had 1 bar of wifi in the back bedroom. With the Nighthawk WiFi Range Extender, that bedroom now has 4 bars. I highly recommend this product.

I was hoping that my netgear EAX80 extender would enhance my 5k internet modem signal thru all the house but the extender needs to be close to the modem to receive the signal. I know that in optimal conditions all the lights need to be white. Maybe my walls are very thick and I might need an additional extender.

S’alright. It took a bit to connect. And I still get slowdowns but I don’t think thats the router. Also cheaper than Comcast

Bought the Netgear Nighthawk CA-80 to replace my Xfinity/Comcast cable modem since it is listed as compatible with the Xfinity wifi. The Nighthawk model CA-80 is both a cable modem and wifi router, so you can stop paying for cable company equipment. Super easy to install and it connected right away to the Xfinity Internet package. This model also can handle up to 8 streaming devices at one time and covers approximately 3,000 sq feet in your household. The wifi signal is strong in all rooms and on all devices while the kids are using it and I’m watching my Roku stuff upstairs. Well worth the money and it should last long enough (even buying refurbished) to more than pay for itself by eliminating the cable box rental.
