Help ensure that your home is fully covered by high-speed wireless network access with the Orbi AX4200 Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear. This Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mesh system includes a router and one satellite that are each designed with six high-powered antennas to provide up to 1800 Mb/s of bandwidth to connected devices through the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, covering up to 5000 square feet. A dedicated 5 GHz connection allows the Orbi router and satellite to transfer data to each other at up to 2400 Mb/s. In total, that’s about 4x the speed of 802.11ac, delivering smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences. The router has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the satellite has two, allowing you to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more. Use the Orbi app to quickly configure and manage the devices, including setting up a guest network login. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

It took a couple of try’s to get the system running (about 20 minutes). I placed the satellite in my MBR-about 75 linear feet from router, thru 4 walls. After installation, I ran speed test in every room-unbelievable results! 100 mgs. in every room and on my decks! I used my Nighthawk AC1600 combo (router/modem) to run Orbi. This was the best Wi-Fi set up experience I’ve ever had. For a non-tech person this was a snap to get running.

Replaced Google mesh with Orbi mesh WiFi. Couldn’t be more happier after this change. Orbi is connected to ATT fiber. Real GiB WiFi internet through out 4K sqft house and also backyard and front yard. Screwed up so many zoom meetings with prior Google mesh. Orbi saved job and life.

This mesh system provides coverage for my 3 level townhome and I am able to receive expected speeds throughout my entire home. Also, the setup process was very seamless utilizing the iOS application. I ran into one hitch post setup when upgrading the firmware from the iOS application. From my research, I found it was a known bug and I needed to conduct the manual firmware upgrade process.
