Help ensure that your home is fully covered by high-speed wireless network access with the Orbi AX4200 Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear. This Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mesh system includes a router and one satellite that are each designed with six high-powered antennas to provide up to 1800 Mb/s of bandwidth to connected devices through the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, covering up to 5000 square feet. A dedicated 5 GHz connection allows the Orbi router and satellite to transfer data to each other at up to 2400 Mb/s. In total, that’s about 4x the speed of 802.11ac, delivering smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences. The router has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the satellite has two, allowing you to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more. Use the Orbi app to quickly configure and manage the devices, including setting up a guest network login. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

The tv gets reception with it plugged directly into a satellite ORBI. I think our WiFi is most likely the weak link so I can’t fault ORBI. After playing Netflix for about 12 minutes our WiFi router reset itself and I had to reboot the ORBI two times. It’s worse when we watch Netflix (vs Hulu or other). I have no idea why that is.

I was having issues reaching parts of my house and researched mesh systems. Netgear kept popping up as a recommended buy. I purchased the RBR750 with one satellite for my space of 1,950 sq ft house and so far is working great. No more buffering. The only thing is you can’t technically can’t pick which wireless network your device connects to. 2.4 or 5. An example is if your TV can only connect to the 2.4 wireless network and your phone, as an example, is connected to the 5g network you wouldn’t be able to stream to your phone. There is a way around this by logging into your router via a internet browser and turning off the 5G network so all devices connect to the 2.4g network. Overall would recommend this product.

We were having issues with our TV dropping Wifi Signal which is not good when you stream everything. no dropped signal since. My only minor complaint is that my old router had a different network for the 2g and 5g networks, this router runs both bands on one network, we had to reconfigure wifi setting on several devices to make them work correctly.

Bought a net gear modem and router based on recommendation from my neighbourhood group. Our neighbourhood is forced to use Suddenlink.
