Help ensure that your home is fully covered by high-speed wireless network access with the Orbi AX4200 Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear. This Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mesh system includes a router and one satellite that are each designed with six high-powered antennas to provide up to 1800 Mb/s of bandwidth to connected devices through the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, covering up to 5000 square feet. A dedicated 5 GHz connection allows the Orbi router and satellite to transfer data to each other at up to 2400 Mb/s. In total, that’s about 4x the speed of 802.11ac, delivering smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences. The router has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the satellite has two, allowing you to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more. Use the Orbi app to quickly configure and manage the devices, including setting up a guest network login. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

Cut the cable recently. Returned boxes, routers and extenders. Tried three different routers all advertised to cover 5000 sq ft. But they didn’t. Could not get coverage to an outside deck or walkout basement. Tri-band Mesh Wifi6 works and reaches the areas where we need it. No buffering or lengthy connect times. The install took literally 10 minutes and allows retention of prior router name and password, saving time on reconnecting all devices. Highly recommend!

Good system overall. Increased coverage in my house significantly. Wish I had more control over the settings or had the ability to put tomato or other homebrew OS on the router. But I’d recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade to WIFI6 and mesh networks.

Setup was very easy. The app is super easy to use. The only thing I would say is a downside is the ability to hide your SSID. Other than that, love the speed and everything else about it.

I bought this router because I tried it at a 4000 sq ft location, spanning multiple floors and a stone basement. My client was complaining about spotty reception throughout the location. I was able to get the entire property covered, not just the building. Very easy to use, web interface allows access from anywhere.

I want to love it but have had troubles from the get go. Took three hours to set up since it couldn’t “find” the device and wouldn’t manually add. There is no option for a 2.4ghz option so it takes a major workaround to reset up all your smart bulbs,plugs, etc. now it kicks us off the internet each night right when we are in the middle of a show and Xfinity has said it isn’t as compatible with their system.

OuR Netgear Orbi system is a life changer. We no longer have dropped calls or disconnects from virtual meetings. We can watch a movie without any pauses.
