Help ensure that your home is fully covered by high-speed wireless network access with the Orbi AX4200 Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear. This Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mesh system includes a router and one satellite that are each designed with six high-powered antennas to provide up to 1800 Mb/s of bandwidth to connected devices through the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, covering up to 5000 square feet. A dedicated 5 GHz connection allows the Orbi router and satellite to transfer data to each other at up to 2400 Mb/s. In total, that’s about 4x the speed of 802.11ac, delivering smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences. The router has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the satellite has two, allowing you to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more. Use the Orbi app to quickly configure and manage the devices, including setting up a guest network login. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

The setup process was unexpectedly hard. My Orbi could not be found when setting up using the mobile app so I had to call support and they walked me through how to set it up via a wired connection. So far my connection has been just okay. My speeds are not as fast as they used to be and the other day my Orbi randomly lost connection? When connected to my modem I had internet so this was an Orbi issue. Might need to return

Totally enjoying our whole house Orbi system. No bad spots! Happy I chose this system!

My speeds have increased significantly. So happy with this product.

Had for a week now and seems to be working just fine. Great range. The app that net-gear has you download to setup the WiFi does not work for setup. Would be nice if it had some parental control that is built in and not a subscription especially for the price.

Jumped my speed my 200 mbps on old N router to 800 on my fiber connection. It’s awesome.
Verdie Beatty (verified owner) –
Works great easy step by step set up. Unbelievable connection with all my network.

3640 soft 2 story home with extensive range requirements. Home required static IP configuration. The Netgear Orbi Tri-band Mesh WiFi performs extremely well. My configuration required a little research, and some manual effort but now that we have it installed it works. My unique requirements required that I needed my Control4 whole house system required that devices needed to be at specific addresses. I have multiple switches and devices in an equipment closet downstairs, a weather station in the yard, and controllers for automated water features that all must connect to my network.

This is a great router w/satellite, yes it’s a little pricier then most, but this is worth every dime I spent on it.

I purchased NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System since I have a 3-story house. The setup was super easy – just download the app and follow the instructions. The signal is strong everywhere inside or even outside the house, and the connection is stable. Worth it!

A little tricky to set up, but works well with way more download speed.
Tracy Gaylord (verified owner) –
This system enabled a 5x increase in bandwidth speed. (my old router was 8 years old) It was easy to set-up, and the Orbi software makes it easy to customize and monitor. The set-up instructions were easy to understand. I highly recommend this router!

Ease of use and easily maintain WiFi coverage for the entire home.

We had intermittent drops at the beginning and now just once a week but boots up shortly after and is fine

Replaced a Netgear 7200 with Orbi due to the size of my house it was easy set up and has worked excellent with my Sonos and my alarm system would definitely buy again .

I bought the Netgear Orbi Mesh WiFi 6 system after my other router died. I had a router/booster extender setup for my two story home. The booster/extender worked okay here and there but would disconnect on me, I wasn’t reaching anywhere near my speed of my internet, and I always forgot to switch over to other network when I was on my second floor. With the NETGEAR Orbi mesh system I do not have to worry about any of those problems anymore. The Orbi was easy to setup. I have internet all over my house even in places the extender couldn’t reach and the internet speed is amazingly fast! It’s all one network name so I do not have to worry about switching back and forth. This was the best purchase and upgrade I’ve made for my network.

No problems, much longer range than previous extenders, fast.

The system performs great after set up. It is missing few features that high grade mesh systems should have. I have installed and used Enterprise mesh systems that had more features than orbi 3 years ago. One of the biggest disappointments is if you want to use 6ghz it has to be WPA3. There are so many devices that will only accept WPA2. The router cannot run both encryptions which makes no sense because affectively 6 GHz is useless if you have all the devices that require WPA2. If you have multiple satellites which use a dedicated 5.8 GHz backhaul. So for me this system is not Futureproof for 6 GHz. For the pricetag there are much better systems out there. Netgear armor is terrible and I disabled that as soon as I could. For the money you can get a a antivirus suite such as McAfee.

Very good performance throughout our house w/basement.

Could not be easier to set up. Worked perfectly from minute one. Have made 3 recommendations to friends and business owner they need to switch.

I purchased this both for the expected reliability of Netgear hardware, but also because I was an existing Bitdefender customer. The switch to Netgear ARMOR was easy and the protection is the same familiar Bitdefender.
