Help ensure that your home is fully covered by high-speed wireless network access with the Orbi AX4200 Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear. This Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mesh system includes a router and one satellite that are each designed with six high-powered antennas to provide up to 1800 Mb/s of bandwidth to connected devices through the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, covering up to 5000 square feet. A dedicated 5 GHz connection allows the Orbi router and satellite to transfer data to each other at up to 2400 Mb/s. In total, that’s about 4x the speed of 802.11ac, delivering smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences. The router has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the satellite has two, allowing you to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more. Use the Orbi app to quickly configure and manage the devices, including setting up a guest network login. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

I’ve got an old house, and I’ve tried many different wireless configurations. My best experience was have two separate routers connected by a long cat6 cable. However, I’d have to change networks depending on my position in the house relative to the routers. Now, I have a strong signal all over the house without the need to change networks. So, as in the title, it works!

This system was a decent price and with router and 1 satellite. Packages well. Looks nice. I first tried to install using my old SSID to prevent having me to change all my devices. That did t work so I went with the suggested ssid and password. Then had to change all 40 of my devices. So that was a pain. But besides that it works week and has very good coverage. Better than my older Nighthawk X10. I recommend it.

Difficult and complicated to install via a multiple stage process even if cell phone app utilized. Very difficult to get Tech support in a timely manner. Literally spent several hours on two calls to complete. Once established works well inside. Have yet to connect outdoor security to see if all will work!
