Help ensure that your home is fully covered by high-speed wireless network access with the Orbi AX4200 Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear. This Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mesh system includes a router and one satellite that are each designed with six high-powered antennas to provide up to 1800 Mb/s of bandwidth to connected devices through the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, covering up to 5000 square feet. A dedicated 5 GHz connection allows the Orbi router and satellite to transfer data to each other at up to 2400 Mb/s. In total, that’s about 4x the speed of 802.11ac, delivering smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences. The router has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the satellite has two, allowing you to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more. Use the Orbi app to quickly configure and manage the devices, including setting up a guest network login. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

Oh, boy did we have issues getting this system up and running. Spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support. They finally told us to return the unit and exchange for another. After that, we did a bit more sleuthing online and decided to hook up the router first before the satellite units. This time, installation was a success. We live in an older home with plaster walls. This has allowed our outdoor ring system to work. Allow yourself plenty of time and a cuss jar just in case things go awry

The Orbi mesh systems works great so far. The only complaint is the required monthly subscription for the parental control features required by Netgear. The system is expensive enough, those features should not require a membership to access.
