Help ensure that your home is fully covered by high-speed wireless network access with the Orbi AX4200 Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear. This Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mesh system includes a router and one satellite that are each designed with six high-powered antennas to provide up to 1800 Mb/s of bandwidth to connected devices through the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, covering up to 5000 square feet. A dedicated 5 GHz connection allows the Orbi router and satellite to transfer data to each other at up to 2400 Mb/s. In total, that’s about 4x the speed of 802.11ac, delivering smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences. The router has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the satellite has two, allowing you to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more. Use the Orbi app to quickly configure and manage the devices, including setting up a guest network login. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

Setup was easy with the app that walks you thru step by step. The coverage and performance are as advertised. I am trying out Netgear Armor Bitdefender on several devices and so far it is working smoothly. I have to pause the VPN to watch Spectrum TV on my iPad, but that is not a big deal. The coverage with a satellite is very good and my outdoor Ring cameras now have strong signals.

I perform telehealth and rely on the strength of my wifi for video visits with patients. After installing the orbi system, I no longer has dropped called, lagged/stalled videos and was able to complete my visits with no problems. It was quick and easy to install and has proved to do everything it promises.

The Orbi Whole Home Tri-Band Mesh router works amazing. Easy set up and configuration, delivers top notch speed and connections. The management tools work very well, made it very easy to set up link aggregation. I am very impressed by my new router.

Original router was upstairs and did not cover all the downstairs. With the orbi mesh system (one base and one satellite) my whole home is covered.

This is an excellent wifi mesh system. I was having dead spots and my wifi cameras would go offline several times. Videos don’t buffer. We have over (30) devices on the system all work well.

Upgraded from Google WiFi mesh system to Orbi. With Xfinity 600 mbps plan I am getting 400 mbps out of these Orbi mesh, but one big problem is that they consistently get disconnected. I have to reset them almost on the daily basis.

The Orbi whole home mesh system resolved all of our Wi-Fi troubles that we were experiencing in our new home. Our existing Wi-Fi did not have a strong enough signal to reach every room of our house. With the Orbi my family is able to connect any device to Wi-Fi with ease now. My children really love it!
Tania Nolan (verified owner) –
More enjoyable to stream movies and read books with much less buffering.

This seems to be a great system so far extra security is nice but at a yearly cost. the app is very usable and nice to have access to your router with ease. And it does cover the whole house well. Overall good system i think.

Opened the box, followed the instructions, and worked, very happy about it!

Installation was not a problem. I think the mobile app speed test made reviewing coverage simple and it is nice to have alerts of new devices connect to the network. Tech support provided an excellent solution to connecting my smart bulbs to the Orbi network. Great product and great coverage.

I upgraded from a Google mesh WiFi with 3 router/satellites. It worked but was slow. I got slight improvement by connecting one of the Google satellites to Ethernet but this compromised the satellite location. I have gigabyte internet speed. With a 3 piece Orbi system I am getting near gigabyte speed everywhere in the house. This is because the Orbi dedicates one of its 3 radios for communication between satellites/radios. Other mesh systems share the mesh communication with the WiFi traffic which essentially cuts the capable bandwidth speed in half. No satellites are connected by Ethernet in my setup. Note this is 3600 square ft single story home. If your not going to connect your satellites by Ethernet then definitely go with triband and I think the best experience would be one with a dedicated radio for the backhaul/mesh communication.

This did make somewhat of an improvement in my home wi-fi but still not enough to connect if it is raining outside.

The saying you get what you pay for rings true in my case. I went from my rented WIFI 5 ISR router to this expensive WIFI 6 router, and the difference is night and day. This is the most expensive router I ever bought, and first mesh system. After month of use I feel it was very worth it. Streaming local content from my media server is faster and much better and always at max resolution. Cloud gaming is much better, with no input lag, and nearly ever drops in resolution, or connection. File transfers between devices are blazing fast, and considering getting a wireless NAS. I was on the fence about waiting for 6E or 7 to be more available, and affordable, but now happy about the decision.

Getting 900mbps, but videos still buffer on YouTube.

I’ve been struggling to get good whole home wi fi for years. I typically lost 60% of my signal from the router to the other end of my house ( 2500 sq ft home). I installed the Orbi router plus one satellite and now I have virtually no loss thru the entire house. This has been a great unit. It was easy to set up as long as you restart your modem as well. I highly recommend these units.

The Orbi mesh network was very easy to set up and install. Connectivity and application interface are great. Very happy with the purchase.

Had google/nest wifi for over two years and then all of a sudden the router would just cut out 4-6 times a day. Moved to Orbi and it was super easy to set up and have had no issues so far. Very happy.
Mitchell Miller (verified owner) –
The router was easy to connect and set up. The installation instructions were easy to follow and being able to use my old router’s name and password works great. Very glad I bought it.

Upgraded from an older Motorola WiFi router to the 753 Mesh solution. Now have solid coverage through the house.
