Help ensure that your home is fully covered by high-speed wireless network access with the Orbi AX4200 Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear. This Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mesh system includes a router and one satellite that are each designed with six high-powered antennas to provide up to 1800 Mb/s of bandwidth to connected devices through the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, covering up to 5000 square feet. A dedicated 5 GHz connection allows the Orbi router and satellite to transfer data to each other at up to 2400 Mb/s. In total, that’s about 4x the speed of 802.11ac, delivering smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences. The router has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the satellite has two, allowing you to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more. Use the Orbi app to quickly configure and manage the devices, including setting up a guest network login. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

So we initially upgraded our internet to 1GB, which didn’t solve the problem. After upgrading to Orbi, we no longer get kicked off Zoom meetings or get buffering. Love it!

Excellent speed and improved consistency for devices that support 5GHZ bands. However, I saw issues while connecting devices that support only 2.4 GHZ bands. It was not that easy to connect 2.4 ghz devices. Need to restart router several times.

Migrated to using the orbis after Google fiber told me their Google dots getting 150 mbps down was in their “acceptable” range. Never had an issue and constant amazing speeds and stability since then. Was hard for a bit to justify the price but it has been well worth it.

Once I got the system working it has been very solid however it did give me a lot of trouble when I was setting it up initially. The satellite would not pair – I had to reset both devices 4 for the units to finally communicate with each other properly.
