Help ensure that your home is fully covered by high-speed wireless network access with the Orbi AX4200 Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear. This Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mesh system includes a router and one satellite that are each designed with six high-powered antennas to provide up to 1800 Mb/s of bandwidth to connected devices through the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, covering up to 5000 square feet. A dedicated 5 GHz connection allows the Orbi router and satellite to transfer data to each other at up to 2400 Mb/s. In total, that’s about 4x the speed of 802.11ac, delivering smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences. The router has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the satellite has two, allowing you to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more. Use the Orbi app to quickly configure and manage the devices, including setting up a guest network login. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

This mesh system covers my entire house very well, which is over 2500 square ft. Everything loads much faster than ever, and the Wi-Fi extends much further with the 2 satellites. I really like that the 2 satellites can be connected with an Ethernet cable. It was fairly easy to set up with the Orbi app. I would recommend this system to anyone who wants faster Wi-Fi.

Once setup, the router and hubs work flawlessly and covers all of my home with high speed Internet. The best part is connection from satellite doesn’t feel there is any lag, the speed is almost on par with lan connected satellite which I have never seen with any other competitor product. The added while home security is a very good feature.

Soon after installing my Orbi, I began having intermittent internet drops. The problem would go away for a few hours or even days but then happen again. I have restarted the modem (Spectrum’s) and the Orbi several times to no avail. Spectrum tech support says the modem seems to be fine. I have a Spectrum router which I am not using but am tempted to swap it for the Orbi and see if that fixes the problem.

Wireless coverage is good, and it is easy to get working. The interface lacks some advanced traffic control, and using these with a different router and wired backhaul is trickier to set up and get working.
