Help ensure that your home is fully covered by high-speed wireless network access with the Orbi AX4200 Wireless Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System from Netgear. This Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) mesh system includes a router and one satellite that are each designed with six high-powered antennas to provide up to 1800 Mb/s of bandwidth to connected devices through the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, covering up to 5000 square feet. A dedicated 5 GHz connection allows the Orbi router and satellite to transfer data to each other at up to 2400 Mb/s. In total, that’s about 4x the speed of 802.11ac, delivering smooth 4K video streaming and online gaming experiences. The router has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the satellite has two, allowing you to connect wired devices such as smart TVs, game consoles, computers, and more. Use the Orbi app to quickly configure and manage the devices, including setting up a guest network login. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

The speed and coverage have been great…but oh my, the software and service gaps and drops with many of my devices have been horrendous. Unit is going back. Fast but unreliable.

Easy to setup, control via iPhone app, and high-speed internet even from satellite wifi nodes. We have 400Mbps internet and I clocked 350Mbps while connected to either the hub or a satellite node around our house. The Mesh nodes allow us to extend the wifi much further than our previous system using Wifi extenders. Netgear armor provides great protection for all connected devices as well.

This new satellite version does a great job of keeping all of our streaming working at a good speed, without buffering, or shutting off devices. We love this system!

After installing the router and calling the IPS to shake hands with the new router, it’s definitely made an improvement in download and upload speeds and better range throughout the house.
