Expand the reach of your existing Orbi Wi-Fi System with the Orbi Wireless AC3000 Satellite from Netgear. This Satellite device adds up to 2000 additional square feet to your wireless network and supports tri-band wireless connectivity along with support for 802.11a/g/b/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards.
Once configured, the Orbi Wi-Fi System provides comprehensive wireless network access and operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies supporting tri-band functionality to handle a greater number of connections. Additionally, the router and connected Satellite devices support the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard and offer enhanced wireless data transfer rates of up to 3000 Mb/s. To further enhance wireless connections this Netgear Wi-Fi System utilizes both beamforming and MU-MIMO technologies to provide a more directed signal to multiple devices all at the same time.

I was hesitant to get a third satellite because it was not clear in the documentation that it would do what i needed it to do. Fortunately it was very easy to extend the wi fi coverage by plugging it to an existing plug in my lan.

This product is just amazing. We had several internet problems in our house and the provider couldn’t resolve the issue even though they tried they own brand extenders. We have had to restart many times the router, turn of our devices and so… After research we decided to buy the Orbi Mesh WiFi. As soon as we set up (super easy) we noticed the difference. The device is able to fill a large home with high-speed Wi-Fi and has more range and power than any other router we have tried. The result: no more internet connectivity issues. We strongly recommend this device if you are experiencing internet problems / weak signal or even slow speed connection.

Got an Orbi RBK50 to use in place of an R7000 Nighthawk. It’s an older house with heavier plaster walls. The R7000 is theoretically faster IF you have line-of-sight to it, but in practice the Orbi kit reaches corners on different floors that the other router could not, and at 5 GHz. Notes: Setup via Ethernet is advised – use the app for simple tasks afterward. The Orbi works only with IE as the browser for certain tasks, unlike the R7000, which worked with any browser.

Smooth integration to existing Orbi system, I already had 4 units, this is the fifth before it goes out of production (original system). Directions are clear, simple. What easy integration takes is a bit of patience. AND, you should place your unit in the desired location before startup so the configuration of the network relays is simple. the instructions are not clear on this, only hint at it.

This is the most amazing system I’ve used… I ve spent thousands trying to find one that has the full reach inside and out. We have a 4,500sq ft house and an outdoor living space with a pool,. This is the only system that I have bought that goes through the brick and has a great signal by the pool. I know boo woo…but it’s what I do. Very fast through put. Purchased the Orbi RBK50 system consisting of a base unit and a satellite. Connection was simple and they provide MUCH better coverage in my house than the single router that Xfinity provided. I also like the ability to administer the routers remotely when I’m not at home. Only glitch, and not a tech issue, was the registration of the base unit with Netgear. I purchased a refurb unit and the base serial number seems to already be in use. I registered the satellite unit with no issue and assume it to be sufficient. I’m quite pleased with the Orbi WiFi routers so far.
