Expand the reach of your existing Orbi Wi-Fi System with the Orbi Wireless AC3000 Satellite from Netgear. This Satellite device adds up to 2000 additional square feet to your wireless network and supports tri-band wireless connectivity along with support for 802.11a/g/b/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards.
Once configured, the Orbi Wi-Fi System provides comprehensive wireless network access and operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies supporting tri-band functionality to handle a greater number of connections. Additionally, the router and connected Satellite devices support the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard and offer enhanced wireless data transfer rates of up to 3000 Mb/s. To further enhance wireless connections this Netgear Wi-Fi System utilizes both beamforming and MU-MIMO technologies to provide a more directed signal to multiple devices all at the same time.

I was having problems getting wifi in the bedroom area of my home. It was there but weak and intermittent. After installing the Orbi Mesh the wifi is strong everywhere accept the garage. I plan to fix that with another satellite. I expect great results!

With the app I think it took maybe 15 minutes to be updated and running! Easy to use app with instructions – there was a step where connecting with satellite didn’t work right away but resetting the satellite fixed that. Connections have been consistently 300mbps down and 12mbps up on my Xfinity account which is supposed to be 250mbps up max

If you do not have the ability to run wire and have a home that’s large enough to need more than one wireless access point, these work great! Once connected, they never have any issues. They give me my full speeds over WiFi (300 mbit). I’m not sure they would be able to handle the full speed of a gigabit connection, though. These are great consumer level devices that do mesh very well!

bought this system for my cameras 18 months ago and the satellite doesn’t work, the ring light stays white and the sync button does nothing. for this price i would’ve thought it would last longer.

Replace two ASUS routers setup in an AIMesh configuration. Much simpler to setup and great coverage speed. Wish I had gone with netgear to begin with. A++

Excellent router, a little difficult to sync with Cable modem but once setup it’s rock steady. A little confusing at first using the GUI, but excellent support online forums. Only complaint so far is the router only has a built in 3 port switch, most routers have the standard 4, It required a little rewiring on my part.
