Expand the reach of your existing Orbi Wi-Fi System with the Orbi Wireless Router AC2200 Satellite from Netgear. This Satellite device adds up to 1,500 additional square feet to your wireless network and supports tri-band wireless connectivity along with support for 802.11a/g/b/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards.
Once configured, the Orbi Wi-Fi System provides comprehensive wireless network access and operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies supporting tri-band functionality to handle a greater number of connections. Additionally, the router and connected Satellite devices support the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard and offer enhanced wireless data transfer rates of up to 1,500 Mbps. To further enhance wireless connections this Netgear Wi-Fi System utilizes both beamforming and MU-MIMO technologies to provide a more directed signal to multiple devices all at the same time.

Orbi family has some weird network priority. We have 2-floor house, with concrete walls which make it hard for wifi to pass through. Anyway, using Orbi satellites improves the coverage if you’re checking it with any Wifi analyzer, but the problem is that any of your devices do not connect to the nearest satellite where the signal is at its peak. It can connect the weakest satellite on the other side of the house. It’s a known issue that pretty kills the concept of a mesh network. Technically speaking, the pairing of this satellite is easy and the design is nice
