Expand the coverage of your Orbi Pro Router with the Orbi Pro AC3000 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Add-On Satellite Access Point from NETGEAR. This access point supports the 802.11ac network standard and operates a single 2.4 GHz frequency and dual 5 GHz frequencies offering maximum wireless data transfer rates of up to 3000 Mbps. In addition to wireless connectivity, clients can connect to any of the four Gigabit Ethernet ports for a reliable wired network connection.
Setup is simple. Just plug in the Orbi Satellite Access Point and it automatically connects to the nearby Orbi Pro Router. Once connected, this access point expands wireless coverage by up to 2,500 square feet while offering 3 Gbps AC Wi-Fi speeds. The Orbi Access Point even comes with wall- and ceiling-mount screws for easy installation.

Please do not buy this for Alexa “multi room music” functionality – the speaker itself is fine, however, it does not support Alexa MRM functionality which is fundamental if you have more than one alexa device in your house. The satellite router functionality works as advertised, so if you are buying for that and you maybe need to play music in standalone fashion on one device then its fine.

I live in a rural area, in a house with lots of concrete and rock. The Orbi system changed the way we watch, listen, and enjoy everything that required internet. I am a not tech savvy in the slightest way. I was so nervous about setting the system up but it truly was the easiest to install. The set up direction from the app was easy and great. I also knew I could call Orbi for help if needed. I am going to buy one more satellite Orbi even though the service is great throughout the house.
