Expand the coverage of your Orbi Pro Router with the Orbi Pro AC3000 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Add-On Satellite Access Point from NETGEAR. This access point supports the 802.11ac network standard and operates a single 2.4 GHz frequency and dual 5 GHz frequencies offering maximum wireless data transfer rates of up to 3000 Mbps. In addition to wireless connectivity, clients can connect to any of the four Gigabit Ethernet ports for a reliable wired network connection.
Setup is simple. Just plug in the Orbi Satellite Access Point and it automatically connects to the nearby Orbi Pro Router. Once connected, this access point expands wireless coverage by up to 2,500 square feet while offering 3 Gbps AC Wi-Fi speeds. The Orbi Access Point even comes with wall- and ceiling-mount screws for easy installation.

Our condo is not that big, but it is totally wireless. I used the RBK50 to “replace” my AT&T supplied fiber router, and the difference was noticeable. I have Apple TVs both upstairs and downstairs. I put the base downstairs and the satellite upstairs. My speed was good before, but slightly better now. I was able to connect my PC and Apple TV upstairs via ethernet off the satellite – very nice. The bottom line is the RBK50 reduced my Apple TV buffering in both down and upstairs.

It was hard to spend this amount of money for something I did not know for sure would improve my coverage. It has crushed the other routers I have had in my life. No issues with online streaming or working from home and schooling from home. Has speeds just under hardwired speeds which is needed for us as we don’t have a very high speed in the country anyway.

Effortless setup. Once the central router contacted to the satellites the mesh dome covered my entire house. Bedrooms which previously were dead space now have 4 wifi bars and reach my service providers max download speeds. No more complaining under the dome!
