Expand the coverage of your Orbi Pro Router with the Orbi Pro AC3000 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Add-On Satellite Access Point from NETGEAR. This access point supports the 802.11ac network standard and operates a single 2.4 GHz frequency and dual 5 GHz frequencies offering maximum wireless data transfer rates of up to 3000 Mbps. In addition to wireless connectivity, clients can connect to any of the four Gigabit Ethernet ports for a reliable wired network connection.
Setup is simple. Just plug in the Orbi Satellite Access Point and it automatically connects to the nearby Orbi Pro Router. Once connected, this access point expands wireless coverage by up to 2,500 square feet while offering 3 Gbps AC Wi-Fi speeds. The Orbi Access Point even comes with wall- and ceiling-mount screws for easy installation.

After due diligence and searching for routers, I settled on the Orbi RBR50 system. I’ve never heard of this system so I was leary at first but the reviews I read are what sold me on it. I thought it may be a little overpriced and only bought it because I had several gift cards that I could use for it. After using this for about a month now, I can really see a change in internet speed throughout our hole house (2,900 sq ft) with multiple wireless devices. We have no issues when streaming TV and using iPads and cell phones at the same time. There may be other systems out there that are a little more cost effective but I’m very happy with the effectiveness of the Orbi. The only opportunity for improvement I see currently is it wasn’t the easiest to setup, but once you’ve got that down it’s smooth sailing.

Orbi setup was as easy as it gets. The Orbi app is a great tool to control everything this mesh router system does. We purchased a new brick house and our old router just wasn’t cutting it. Couldn’t get WiFi into the backyard, now we do with the mesh system. It’s great to have a mesh system where your device goes between the router and satellite seamlessly depending on where you’re at in our around your house. Very pleased with our purchase.

After having this product on my home for a week, I experienced multiple issues with connectivity. The main router is located beside my TV and even the TV began buffering. I then plugged an Ethernet cable directly into the router and…no issues with streaming. This product is not worth the high price tag.

The only room for improvement would be directions for people without a smart phone. Instructions were pretty much non-existent.
