Expand the coverage of your Orbi Pro Router with the Orbi Pro AC3000 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Add-On Satellite Access Point from NETGEAR. This access point supports the 802.11ac network standard and operates a single 2.4 GHz frequency and dual 5 GHz frequencies offering maximum wireless data transfer rates of up to 3000 Mbps. In addition to wireless connectivity, clients can connect to any of the four Gigabit Ethernet ports for a reliable wired network connection.
Setup is simple. Just plug in the Orbi Satellite Access Point and it automatically connects to the nearby Orbi Pro Router. Once connected, this access point expands wireless coverage by up to 2,500 square feet while offering 3 Gbps AC Wi-Fi speeds. The Orbi Access Point even comes with wall- and ceiling-mount screws for easy installation.

This router has some impressive signal strength. I replaced a ASUS AC1900 with this system with doubts it could match the performance of the ASUS. It is amazingly fast with the tri band, while still having great options of control and fine settings. I only needed 1 satellite for my home since it is 3200 sq ft. My only issue is getting Circle with Disney to open. It says I need a firmware update from the Cirlce app, but the router is up to date. Not a big deal to me. If you are on the fence, try this great system. You won’t be disappointed.

They Orbi has extended the wifi signal to surround our entire property. And increased our speed. The app downloaded made it easy to use except I clicked on a button and ended up pausing access and didnt realize it. Spend 2 days and a few phones calls to find out I needed to just click a button. User error but was over easy to make the mistake from the app.

My family bought this expecting it to be amazing, but it constantly drops its internet signal, and doesn’t broadcast its wifi signal consistently, sometimes making it impossible to even find the signal. Could be a defective unit, but we are not happy with it. Also, unrelated, Netgear, add an “other” and/or “prefer not to say” choice for the REQUIRED “What is your gender?” question in order to leave a comment, or make the question optional, like the last three questions. There isn’t a viable choice for me. I chose “Male” only because it forces a very uncomfortable BINARY gender choice as a requirement to leave a comment.

After extensive research to find a good, affordable router I picked Orbi. I am not tech saavy at all so I needed something easy to install. I also love the parental control for the kids and how it detects every time someone connects to the wifi, scans their device and lets you know if it’s safe. Couldn’t have picked a better system.
