Expand the coverage of your Orbi Pro Router with the Orbi Pro AC3000 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Add-On Satellite Access Point from NETGEAR. This access point supports the 802.11ac network standard and operates a single 2.4 GHz frequency and dual 5 GHz frequencies offering maximum wireless data transfer rates of up to 3000 Mbps. In addition to wireless connectivity, clients can connect to any of the four Gigabit Ethernet ports for a reliable wired network connection.
Setup is simple. Just plug in the Orbi Satellite Access Point and it automatically connects to the nearby Orbi Pro Router. Once connected, this access point expands wireless coverage by up to 2,500 square feet while offering 3 Gbps AC Wi-Fi speeds. The Orbi Access Point even comes with wall- and ceiling-mount screws for easy installation.

Decided on the Orbi after kids complaining about the weak internet connection in their bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Especially with online school. I was using a WiFi extender and it wasn’t cutting it. Switched to the Orbi and it was like night and day. Tested the speed before and after in my kids room and it went from a 6/9 (download/upload) to 99/120 and I have 100mbps. Installation was easy to follow on the Orbi app. It costs a bit more, but I’m happy with the product.

We have had an Orbi RB50 for many years. Excellent throughput, range, and speed. We have a router and two satellites for a large rambling home. Each device (2 smart TV’s, 2 smart watches, a desktop, 2 laptops, 2 smartphones, 1 tablet) in every corner of the house gets a full signal. No logjams or bottlenecks. The tv’s are Roku. The rest of the devices are Apple. When kids come to stay from out of town we have at least 4 more devices on the network. The Netgear app makes set up easy and automatically connects each device to the closest satellite. Have not had to reboot, even once, all these years. The network has gone down 6 or 7 times due to power outages and automatically reboots and automatically redistributes each device to the nearest satellite when power returns. Looked at new 3 band WiFi 6 mesh systems but this one has been flawless so far so will stick with it for the foreseeable future. It has been so reliable that we take it for granted and forget it is there. No gamers in our home so can’t speak to that level of functionality. Not a single complaint. Highly recommend

This is such a great product. I bought after going through 2-3 routers because I have dead zones. I also tried wifi router extenders but they were so complicated and also dropped my wifi. I decided to shell out some money for the orbi cause I read great reviews and I had coworkers that swear it’s the best and didn’t have dead zones. You get your monies worth with this product. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to another wifi router again.

With this product I eliminate 2 router/1 extender. I only have 1 wifi system, more users control, more equipment included (pc, apple tv, camera, tv). Good option..

Running a custom built PC with an Auros Master Z690 MB, I can run Wi-Fi 6E. I first bought an Eros system and dropped conference calls constantly with the router being 10 feet away and in direct line of sight. I returned it and bought this one. I not only was full strength with my wireless connection, but my transfer speeds dramatically increased and conference calls were solid. My Ring doorbell also streams video much better now with a better connection.

Quick and easy setup of the Orbi and really like it. The mesh system is the way to go and plenty of ports for hardwiring specific electronics (biggest selling point for me). Everything is great and great speeds all around my house now. 3 kids on school video calls, WiFi going everywhere, and me on work stuff…couldn’t tell as we have zero performance issues so far. Mesh Systems all day! But yes…..slow and painful setup of all my old stuff from the old to the new router which was not fun but all good once done!
