Expand the coverage of your Orbi Pro Router with the Orbi Pro AC3000 Wireless Tri-Band Gigabit Add-On Satellite Access Point from NETGEAR. This access point supports the 802.11ac network standard and operates a single 2.4 GHz frequency and dual 5 GHz frequencies offering maximum wireless data transfer rates of up to 3000 Mbps. In addition to wireless connectivity, clients can connect to any of the four Gigabit Ethernet ports for a reliable wired network connection.
Setup is simple. Just plug in the Orbi Satellite Access Point and it automatically connects to the nearby Orbi Pro Router. Once connected, this access point expands wireless coverage by up to 2,500 square feet while offering 3 Gbps AC Wi-Fi speeds. The Orbi Access Point even comes with wall- and ceiling-mount screws for easy installation.

The orbi covers my home very well. At just under 4000 sq. ft. The orbi performs as expected with great signal and throughput. The only issue I have encountered is on power failure the satellite units don’t always connect right away.

Have a 2 story 3,400 sq ft, and finally have FIBER internet… Needed better coverage, Orbi does the coverage great interior; with one up and one down stairs. 5th star would be given if it would work stronger on the porch that is just on the other side of the garage door that Orbi reads as 215mps. We don’t have the best internet options in our area and with the connection point being at the opposite end of the house our main tv had horrible WiFi signal. With the Orbi, we’ve had much better connection.

This is almost a plug and play system. Coverage in entire house and outside. Having no problems with all my Alexa units (12 in total), numerous light and power sockets (alexa controlled), 3 computers, 3 iphones and 4 outside security cameras. No noticeable slow down even when 4 people are on line. Would highly recommend this unit.

I was using my ISP’s default router and I was only getting 70-80mbsp right next to the router when I pay for 200mbps. I also wasn’t able to get internet connection in all the rooms even though some where only 5 ft apart. The Orbi changed my daily life. I get 200-240mbps download speeds anywhere in my home and I never have to worry about dropped/lagging zoom calls or impossibly slow movie streaming. I can watch 4K video on any device anywhere I want with no problems. I also appreciate the app that is easy to use and provides control over security. Love it and would recommend to everyone I know!

If connecting as a satellite to an existing Orbi system you must set it to Orbi mode. It comes as an extender from the factory. The piece of paper that comes with this satellite explains how. Basically make sure the power button is off. Then plug it in. Then hold down the pairing button. Then power it on while holding pairing button. Then release pairing button. This will cycle it into orbi mode. It took my satellite about 5 minutes to finally go into Orbi mode. Once in orbi mode go to the app and pair it. Again, follow the paper that came with it unless you just want to use it as an extender.
