Add wireless connectivity to your home or office with the AC2000 Dual-Band 4×4 Wireless Access Point from Netgear. Equipped with three external antennas, the access point supports the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standard, and it comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and a Gigabit Ethernet WAN port. A USB 2.0 Type-A port is ideal for connecting a storage drive, a printer, or another USB device to the network.
Multi-user MIMO technology allows for multiple simultaneous data streams, while beamforming lets the access point focus its Wi-Fi signals on nearby wireless devices. Airtime fairness helps to ensure that slower devices don’t cause network bottlenecks. You can place the access point on a desktop or mount it on a wall.

It covered what we needed as far as space and square footage inside the house

My neargear allows me to be able to educate and support our students and families during this most challenging times. Living in an apartment building that provides challenges for WIFI along with our entire family working and learning from home. Netgear is a game changer. Thank you

Good performance and really easy to use interface. The only challenge was getting my other Netgear router to recognize it during set up due to different default IP address – I was using this as an access point. It was easily fixed by assigning a static IP address, but how to do this was not well documented.

This router literally covers an entire 2 story apartment with no interference.

Not aware of any problems. Can’t really tell how much difference it makes, if any.

Am using this in a poolhouse that is about 100 feet away from my home, for access for TV, cell phones, music, etc. When I bought it, I called the tech support folks and spoke to a great gentleman that helped me configure it to be a wireless access point. He actually called me back the next day to see if it was working right (as I’m not that technical) and help me make some adjustments. That is superior service! We have a great signal that carried quite a way with the same wifi signal as the house. Great fit for us!

I purchase the WAC124 to use as a wireless access point. My ISP integrated modem/router had only 2.4 GHz wi-fi which is quite congested in my neighborhood. I wanted to add 5 GHz wi-fi capability and this unit does just that. The Netgear setup program did not automatically find the unit and I had to look on my computer for what IP address the router assigned to it when I plugged the unit in. Then I was able to access the configuration menu from a web browser and set it up. I like that it allows me to have 3 wireless access points. I set up one for guests and little used devices running on 2.4 GHz. I setup another for my entertainment devices on 5 GHz and the third for our smart phones using both wi-fi bands. After a week of use everything has worked flawlessly and with the less crowded 5 GHz band I am getting better performance out of our entertainment devices and smart phones. My device is set on top of a cabinet adjacent to the modem/router about four feet off the floor. My only complaint is that I cannot see the LEDs on the panel from this angle and have to pick up the device and angle it to see them clearly. Not a big problem as I have not had the need to look at them since day one.

We live in an area with horrible cell service and we stream our tv as well as WIFI and smart services and all we were getting is buffering. It hasn’t completely stopped but it is much, much better.

Very easy to setup and use with good signal strength. I especially like the UI, its very easy to configure this device and the networks on it to your exact needs.

Could not setup, went with NETGEAR mesh setup instead. Very happy now.

Very good router. Was able to setup as a wireless bridge, working without any issues.

Once I figured out how to program the device and set up a NetGear account I was on my way. I’ve hard wired my unit and mounted it in my man cave and the strong Wireless signal covers the entire backyard. So far I’m happy with its performance.

It’s rare these days to buy a product that actually performs as advertised, but this one does, and does it well!

Can’t speak to large area coverage, but works well in ~1500 sq ft w walls.
