The only reason I give it a 4 is due to plastic rather than glass, along with VERY expensive replacement of blending container. The biggest complaint I have read from others, is the plastic has cracked or broken without it being dropped. I cannot figure out if warranty or the extended warranty will cover that part. As for meeting my needs in blending, the motor seems powerful enough for my use. Have not tried ice or frozen fruit etc. I am afraid of breaking container. If you put whole fruit in it, the blades will keep it from going down well, so must cut fairly small. No big problem, just a little extra work. Clean immediately after use, because can become much harder to hand clean—–I would strongly suggest not putting in dishwasher, because appears must put in upper part of dishwasher (way to tall for up there), and have read where people said plastic product was damaged. I have been careful around the blades, because of reported easy injury if get your hands on them. All in all, after couple of uses it works great for me. Two decent blendings can make 1/2 gallon of product. I blend and mix fruit, vegetables, and even cooked beans. Drink a glass a day, and get needed products, without need to always find a way to get these in my diet. I have only had this product a month or so.
