The “Ninja” 2- in-1 Slow Cooker is a great idea! Just one pan to brown the meat (for spaghetti) and then cook the sauce. While cooking on “Slow Cooker-Low Heat the thermostat does not continuously adjust the heat, it is kind of like your heat/air system in your house. While looking at the spaghetti sauce I could see a few bubbles but then no bubbles. My wife’s one complaint was how hot the handles on the cooking pot got. She said that it would be great if they could figure out a way to help this problem. But overall she really likes cooker!

This slow cooker offers a novel twist in that the Ninja 2-in-1 Slow Cooker is not only a slow cooker, but it can also Sear/Saute/Brown.The cook pot, rather than being ceramic. is metal.Controls are simple, with a low setting and high setting, the low defaults to 4 hours and the high eight hours, but the can manually be increased to 12 hours. A keep-warm feature is also included.I especially like that the lid had a substantial plastic handle. It does not have a temperature probe, but otherwise is complete.

A new spin on the old crock pot that everybody has one or more of. First off old crock pots are great and I will keep the two that I have and they only cost a Jackson and Hamilton in bucks. Whereas this high featured Ninja slow cooker/brazer with Teflon type coated aluminum pot and high quality glass lid costs nearly a Jefferson. A real nice feature is that the sides of the pot are heated by indirect convection from the bottom hotplate and the outside of the cooker does not get too hot to touch. Because of that you will not get that burned and crusty circle on the inside of the pot as with a old crock pot. This cooker uses 1200 watts when brazing and 1/2 that on high cook and less on low slow cook. You do have to tend to this unit when brazing just like a frying pan then you reset to slow cook on low or high for the time you set. It will then switch to warming mode (160 deg). Clean up of “Boston baked beans” was easy with hot soapy water and nylon brush. The aluminium pan handles are hot and included are a pair of hard plastic special pot holders that you need to use.

The features on the slow cooker are everything I was hoping for. I love Italian style hot beef sandwiches and the cooker made the process so easy. Being able to sear the meat right in the slow cooker then switch to a slow 8hr cook all in the same pot and with the push of a few buttons was fantastic. The auto stay warm feature let me program my cook and go to bed knowing it would take care of itself overnight. Cleaning was probably one of the best things about this cooker. Even after searing and slow cooking for about 10 hrs, the clean up was wipe away easy. No scrubbing no soaking. I am so happy with my new Ninja Slow cooker and the quality is so that I’m sure it will be this way for many years to come

The Ninja 7-qt slow cooker is a larger unit, but not too large for just two people. What’s really nice is the built-in sear feature. With most slow cooking recipes, you need to spend half your prep time on the stove with a frying pan to sear the meat or chicken. Once done, you transfer them to the slow cooker. Well, not any more with this Ninja! Get all your ingredients ready ahead of time, as you normally would. Turn the unit on, then push the button STOVE TOP which activates the sear feature. I did notice it took a few minutes to fully heat up (so does a pan on the stove so this isn’t any fault), and once it’s hot, like in 3-4 minutes, add your meat or chicken to sear. (I put the chicken in too soon – so do wait that full 3-4 minutes before you put anything in the pot to sear.) For my first Lemon and Garlic Chicken recipe, the chicken seared very nice in about 3 minutes a side. Then, you select SLOW COOKING and pick LOW or HIGH heat. I went with LOW and selected 6 hours. Another nice feature is the vent hole in the glass cover. Aside from sending wonderful cooking aromas into the kitchen, it prevents the cover from its tendency to gently bounce to release inside steam build-up. Both the exterior and base of the unit are just warm to the touch – nice in case you or a little one accidentally brush up against it. My old slow cooker had a porcelain insert that was very heavy. This insert is lightweight and highly conductive to heat – you’ll see that when you clean it with hot water then rinse with cold – you’ll be amazed how quickly the insert changes temperature. Only real negative is there is no capability to wrap and store the cord. Overall, very happy with the product.

We have owned other Ninja products and are very pleased with them. So this slow cooker was no different. To allow us to sear or cook our food in the same pot and then use it as a slow cooker is revolutionary. No more cooking on the stove and then transferring to the slow cooker, this one does it all. Best part of it all, there is a lot less cleaning involved!

Love this cooker. Washed this and used it the day after it arrived. Have been looking forward to making my first meal in this. We seared the beef first then added the potatoes and put it on low slow cook. The meat was so tender and everything came out fantastic. Clean up was so easy unlike other slow cookers nothing suck to the pan at all. I would recommend this to anyone.

This is the second one that I have purchased. Love the convenience of searing and browning meat and other proteins and then switch to slow cooker. I give this a definite 5 stars. I use this appliance more than any other in my kitchen.

This is a very interesting product. It allows you to sear meats and veggies using the stove top function and then cook everything using the slow cooker method. It works very well. I seared some veggies, then used a food processor to mix them up in the sauce and then I seared the meat balls. Once all of that was done I poured the sauce over the meatballs and let cook for 2 hours on high heat. This allowed the meatballs to get cooked all the way through and the flavors to mix. Normally I would have used a separate iron pan for the veggies and meat balls and a casserole dish for the mixture. Doing it all with one appliance was convenient and did not result in my normal mess of using way too many cooking pots to get something done. I do have one comment though. The cord is only 2 feet long. This is just not long enough. Here is the problem. If I put the pot on my countertop then the steam from the saute gets all over the underside of my wooden cabinets. Over time, that will cause issues. If I put the lid on, then the food gets steamed more than seared. Not what I want. So, I put the slow cooker on my island. That presented another problem. The short cord meant that I had to place the pot right at the edge of the island in order to see the face. This is not safe for kids or dogs. My photos do not show that as I put the pot at an angle, but that angle is not how I would use it. I am not sure why a 3 foot cord was not used. Just my two cents. Other that that, a good product.

The 2-IN-1 SLOW COOKER is the best slow cooker/crock-pot since sliced bread! It is packed so tightly, with everything secure that when it arrives at your house everything is without a scratch! It also comes with a meal packet and amazing heat resistant gloves to use when taking the tub in and out of the heat! The size is perfect and will come in handy especially when making larger meals for the whole family!

A great slow cooker. So far, we have made General Tau’s chicken and slow cooked some frozen chicken breasts for a casserol. Love that it counts down the time left.
