I really like my Ninja Foodi, I have had it for about 3 weeks and I have used it every day but 1 so far. It is great to quickly cook potatoes for mashing, making pillsbury cinnamon rolls, cooking a whole chicken, and endless other items. And the best part. It does NOT heat up my kitchen!

I love to cook and try different cooking methods, and this pressure cooker with tender crisp technology really is exciting. With the two lids, (one for pressure cooking and the other hinged and containing the air frying/crisping unit), this appliance is a pressure cooker, air fryer, slow cooker, steamer, dehydrator, broiler, warmer and also sears/sautes. It has multiple temperature, pressure, and cook time settings which are easy to set. That’s a lot of cooking in just one appliance. So far it has done a terrific job of pressure cooking a chicken and then crisping it. It came with a cookbook and cheat sheet for cooking many different types of food including beef, pork, chicken, veggies, etc giving approximate cooking times and temperatures. I am really looking forward to further cooking adventures with this incredible pressure cooker. I’m actually reluctant to call it just a pressure cooker since it is so much more. This is the third kitchen appliance I have purchased from Ninja and am totally impressed with their quality and innovation.

Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker with Tender Crisp Technology is really several machines in one. I’ve got all those other machines and this one is having them all combined into one unit. This is a pressure cooker, steamer, slow cooker, sear/sauté pot, air crisper/fryer, bake/ roaster, food dehydrator, warmer and broiler. Its all done in a 6 ½ Quart size pot. Because it’s so many different kitchen machines it is larger and heavier than any one of them. It’s best if you have a fixed place on the counter-top to use it. It looks mostly like my instant-pot with similar functions except it has a second air fryer cover which Ninja calls an air crisper. This is what immediately looks different in pictures because it comes with two pot covers. One cover is permanently attached that contains the heating element and fan for the air crisper/fryer. The other one is removable, it’s the cover for the pressure cooker and other functions. Using it may seem daunting, but its common sense. First decide which function you want to use, select the correct cover and accessories like the rack or basket. Put in the food, set the timer and temperature and it is done. The amount of time is substantially less than using another method because in many cases you will be cooking under pressure. Pressure shortens cooking times at least by half. The special feature of the Foodi is its all done in one pot. For example, start by pressure cooking then switch over to the air crisper cover to get an added darker fried finish to the dish. So it all can come out cooked and crisped all in the same machine. The cleanup is easier as its made with non-stick materials.I’ve been trying this out cooking several of my favorite dishes using the Foodi. The first thing I notice is the air fryer/crisper is more air tight than my old machine. I always set off the fire alarms with my old unit and nothing with this machine at all. The menu panel worked great, no glitches or sticking keys. The food came out as expected from those other machines, only better than this one that is replacing them. Now, its all done in one pot. It may be more pot than the others, but it replaces several pots and thereby saves space in the kitchen, too.

This counter top appliance is amazing. The first thing I cooked in it was chili with a cornbread topping and the results were marvelous and everything was cooked in a single pot. The pressure cooking of the chili was very easy and the results were perfect. I then added the peppers and tomatoes and simmered the entire preparation and that, too, went very well. The really neat part was dolloping the cornbread batter on the top and then closing the lid to bake and brown everything. That part of the process also worked well. This appliance is very slickly designed and easy to use. The non-stick features worked very well, leading to easy cleaning at the end. The volume is large and easily prepared a substantial meal for not only the day of preparation but also several more days. I also prepared rice pudding. The pressure cooking followed by simmering was superb for making rice pudding. I am just delighted with this product.
