I picked the Ninja Ultra Prep Blender Ultimate Food and Drink maker because I didn’t have a decent blender in the house. The Ninja Ultra Prep Blender came in a nicely illustrated box to give you ideas of use. The 2 side flaps of the box have the Quick Assembly instructions with the parts included, cleaning instructions and how to use each of the three blades that come with the blender. You can cut the flaps out for future use. With this blender you get the main jar, a splash guard lid, three blades and a 700- watts power pod. There is a total crushing and power chopping blade, a dough blade and a high speed blade. There is also a power pod cleaning brush to clean the bottom of the power pod as needed. A Owner’s guide with a getting started guide is also included.The blades fit over a pin in the bottom of the Jar. They are very easy to insert, you just hold them by the upper shaft and lower them over the pin and rotate until it stops.You then put your ingredients in the jar not to go over the Max Liquid line. Place the splash guard lid on the jar. The power pod is placed on the top of the splash guard. Be sure to hold onto the jar firmly and push the On/Off button on the power pod.I made a strawberry smoothie with fresh strawberries, a smoothie packet and ice using the high-speed blade. The blender mixed the fruit and ice in seconds. You can make snow from ice in seconds with the total crushing and power chopping blade. The dough blade is used to mix cookie dough, pizza dough or batters. I’ve got to try that, just think a blender that can mix up your cookie dough for you, how cool is that. You can make all kinds of dips with the high speed blade.A Recipe book comes with the Blender, there are 40 recipes in a color illustrated book.The jar, splash guard lid and three blades are dishwasher safe. Place the splash guard lid and blades in the top rack of the dishwasher. If you choose to wash the blades by hand the high speed blade and the total crushing blade are very sharp, please use caution.I just love this Ninja Ultra Prep Blender and plan on making a lot of the recipes. I very highly recommend it and I am completely satisfied with my choice.

At the first look I thought I had the blender upside down. The power pack is located on the top and is removed when you are done blending. There is only one button! You are incharge of pulsing, chopping, blending and mixing. This is an excellent system YOU must pay attention to what you are doing. Our first recipe was for Magarittas, four cups of ice three cups of liquid a touch of sugar and I had my doubts. The blender was nearly full, I put on the lid mounted the power pack and pulsed seven quick times then 45 seconds and we had perfect drinks without spilling a drop. The ice was finely crushed but not melted.I am going to try pizza dough next.

I am on my 2nd Ultra Prep pitcher. They last about 6 months. The bottom cracks and they leak. We love the ease of use but I will not purchase another pitcher. For the price of the product would expect at least a year of use.

I go through blenders like people go through paper towels. It seems like I get a year or two out of them before they start giving off that burnt electrical smell and either die or significantly lose performance. In need of a new blender, the Ninja Ultra Prep Blender & Food Processor caught my eye.Having a small kitchen with limited storage space, the thought of a blender and food processor in one was very appealing. The only caveat being that multipurpose tools rarely do a really good job at any one thing they are designed to do. Having heard nothing but good things from people that own other Ninja products I decided to roll the dice. I wasn’t disappointed.The 48 ounce jar is of sufficient size to accommodate anything I want to do with it. The cutting blades are sharp and everything but the motor pod can be put into the dishwasher. This has a smaller footprint than any food processor I’ve owned and this is the first that’s had a place to store the blade.There is no lack of power. Everything I throw at it is pulverized with little effort. Pressing down on the power pod turns it on; there are no buttons to get dirty from drips. Having it powered from the top, rather than the base like other blenders and food processors, keeps the non-washable parts cleaner.I am pleased with what I’ve seen and expect to see many years of use from this Ninja.

At first I was a bit confused since the motor is on the top, but I quickly grew used to this difference, It does a great job of making drinks, blending, chopping, etc. My daughter liked it so much she has put one on her registry for her bridal shower this month.

The “Ninja Ulta Prep” Blender safely arrived 2 days ago. I”m SO glad I decided to add this appliance to my kitchen! Already it’s proving itself to be extremely useful! I usually make a protein / fruit drink every morning using bananas and seasonal fruit. This new unit totally crushed the ice [for the drink] to “snow” in seconds. Then it swiftly power chopped all the fruit making my drink in just seconds! I also then followed a recipe listened in the manufacturer’s recipe book for “creamy asparagus soup” [for our dinner] using the blender for “prep”….TREMENDOUS taste treat! If you like your food to have fresh chopped vegetables and fruits, [both for drinks and meals], buy this blender! You’ll be very happy just as I am! As a replacement for our old blender, we thought we would give the Ninja Ultra-Prep a try. We took it out of the box and assembly was so easy that within five minutes we were enjoying our first smoothies with the Ninja. It chops ice like a pro, and even fine chops flax seed. On our old blender you had to select (or guess) which button to push, but this unit only requires pushing down on the top as directed in the recipe book. Another great feature is that everything goes in at the top; the chopping blades, the ingredients, the splash guard lid, and the power pod. What this means is no spills or leaks from the bottom of the jar, and easy clean up.

My first Ninja lasted 8 yrs no issues. This one cracks after less than a year. I can see it is a common issue. Super disappointingI only put bananas, berries and liquids for smoothies.

Really like this Ninja blender for what it can do and as another cool tool for the kitchen. It is very easy to operate and switch out blades and essentially consists of 3 main components-the motor,the bowl or container and blades. Just open the bowl,insert the blades and ingredients to be chopped and places the motor on top and chop til you drop! It can do almost any type of chop,mix,purée,smoothie,dough or sauce you can think of. It has a strong 700watt motor that can crush ice into yummy drinks or tackle the densest dough. It comes with 3 blades for your task at hand and a large volume 48oz handled container with a pour spout. There is a high speed blade,a dough blade(made of strong plastic)and a power blade that crushes and power chops. The motor simply rests in a slot on top of the blender jar and you push a button to activate and chop. Very easy to use and clean and it really works well. It crushed ice in no time, chopped herbs beautifully and chopped carrots and onions with ease. I only wish the cord was a little longer and there was a way to store all the blades in the blender container for real compact storage. I’m not sure if this would replace a standard heavy duty blender or large volume food processor but for my needs it probably will especially when I am preparing something in smaller volume on an everyday basis. Overall this is def a winner in my book and will replace my smaller chopper. I like the simple on and off ease of the motor,which has a safety feature that won’t turn on even if still plugged in when it is not on the blender. This would make a great gift for any cook or enthusiast,a new home,a birthday or anyone who needs a powerful blender chopper in a compact design.

The Ninja Ultra Prep is a fantastic versatile blender. It was very easy to set up; it took under fifteen minutes. It has three different blades for different functions. Instead of selecting from various buttons like my old blender all you have to do is to press down on the power pod on the top to operate. I decided to first make a slushee and was very impressed with how easily it crushed the ice. I am looking forward to making other things with it. It is dishwasher safe, so is easy to clean. It also holds a lot at 48 ounces. A recipe book is included. I love it.

I LOVE this blender. It is nice and powerful as well as easy to use and clean. Everything gets chopped up and mixed evenly. I have a Ninja Pro Kitchen System as well but this one has a smaller footprint and takes up less counter space. I wish there was an option for a second, smaller pitcher.

I have never used a top motor blender before. I am very impressed. We use this mainly for two things, salsa and milkshakes. Let me tell you, amazing on both! There are three different blending attachments, but my favorite is the blade that has three levels of chopping and blending. This helps break up anything that you are blending, and you don’t have to shake it so that it gets blended. It’s awesome! It is very easy to clean and very powerful. It also isn’t too bulky, so it fits nicely in my cabinet.

I bought it a few months ago. It’s blends fast. It’s good. It says dishwasher safe but I wouldn’t put it in the dishwasher if I were you. First, the pitcher bent out of shape so the lid wouldn’t secure. Then the it cracked at the bottom and leaks every time i use it.
