The small 16 oz. jar is good for smoothies. But it’s on the smaller side and the unit doesn’t have enough power for the other things I wanted to make. They need an intermediate size jar like 28 oz. I don’t see the point of having a 40 and 48 oz which are so similar

I don’t really need all 3 sizes, but it is useful to have the larger blender and the smaller food processor. Definitely worth the cabinet space; this is a kitchen utensil that is frequently used at my house. Easy to use, easy to clean.

Clever design with the same functional variety and quality I’ve come to expect from the Ninja brand.I’ll admit it. I love the Shark and Ninja products. I have yet to receive a dud, and this blender is no different. I have the Shark lift away vacuum, still going strong many years later. And recently I’ve been using the Nutri-Nija for smoothies. I’m always a bit careful of products that promote a lot with product programs, but I have to say, these live up to their claims. On top of that, they don’t break the bank.This product has a clever design that puts the motor on top. In this way, the bowl is unencumbered by posts, clips, lock-outs, and attached blades. The blades go in and spin on a small button on the bottom. They easily pull out for cleaning.If I had one complaint, it is that you have to put the blade in first if you have any food that is non-liquid. You can foul the top post. But that’s a small complaint. I could go on and on, but check out short attached video for a smoothie demo. You can explore the channel and see me chop and onion too. Fast! I let it go for too long. This thing works really fast.Made in China

The Ninja works different than a standard blender, in that the motor goes on top of the pitcher/unit, and instead of only having blades at the bottom, it has a few blades in the middle of the container, as well as on the bottom. Also, it only has one speed- and that is on. You hold down a button for up to 15 seconds at a time and it chops up everything you toss in it. Due to the multiple blades, it chops really well and really fast. I tossed a couple scoops of ice cream in mine along with some sprinkles and chocolate chips. It made a pretty darn good dessert that I really enjoyed. I think a lot of people use these to make health shakes or smoothies and it would probably work well for that too, if you’re in to that kind of thing. Clean up is easy as all the parts are dishwasher safe. The set works well. I guess if I was going to do it again though, I would get one with multiple speeds.
