Sleek and stylish, the Nomatic Carry-On Pro 22" Spinning Suitcase is built for travelers, not tourists—allowing you to pack more in less space, so you don’t have to compromise what you bring. This bag is made for frequent travelers who typically take one- to three-day trips, and need to take their technology with them, with easy access to it for work or security checks. This is a companion piece to Nomatic’s 22" Classic Carry-On and the larger 29" Check-In suitcase, making them a beautifully matched set.
The tech portion, an upgrade from the Classic suitcase, is an exterior-access compartment that comes with a slim protective case to hold a laptop. It has organizer pockets for accessories like power cables and external drives. A shoulder strap is included, so you can use the case as a separate bag for meetings. The compartment that the case fits into has more organizer pockets and plenty of room for other personal items like boarding passes, passports, and a wallet. For those who might need a bit more room for clothing, the tech case can be carried separately by the shoulder strap or trolley sleeve on the Pro’s handle, allowing you to use the tech compartment for other gear like a jacket.
A YKK zipper provides access to the roomy interior where you’ll find an array of mesh and regular pockets for accessories. A series of compression straps and a folding panel on one side distributes pressure evenly over a wider area and maximizes the compression. If you have shoes that don’t compress, simply fold the panel away from the shoes and compress the rest of your clothing. The other side has a double-panel zippered cover that holds all your stuff in place. Optional compression packing cubes are available separately and enable you to pack more in even less space.
The bag is made of tough and durable Makrolon polycarbonate to withstand rough handling and the wear and tear of world travel. Once it’s packed, the convenience of four silent-running Hinomoto spinner wheels let you better maneuver the case with the 3-stage telescoping handle. If you’re in a hurry and need to run, there is a low-profile side handle for hand-carrying. For security, there is a TSA-approved zipper lock integrated into the case.

I got to use this carry-on only once because we are all grounded now. Was a bit worried before receiving it because of some of the bad reviews but I got to say, this carry-on is looking good so far. One review said that it was flimsy but I find it quite sturdy. Of course if people want it to be like steel, it is going to weight a ton. I find the balance just right between sturdiness and light-weight. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to pack. The straps are the best part… so easy to attach and remove once you learn how to use it. I love it. The internal part seems limited but I found that I can stuff much more than it looks. But don’t expect to be able to carry a ton of stuff. I cannot fit my shoes in unless it gets all smashed up. Good for some sports shoes but definitely not for dress shoes. I’m still trying to figure out how to use the external compartment. The laptop bag becomes too bulky to fit so I used it to stuff my jacket in and flight essentials. It’s a good compartment though because it’s easy access for a hard case bag. Maybe after a few use, I’ll find a way to make it more useful. On the design side, it looks classy and different than all the other black carry-on. I definitely like this bag and would recommend it.

Great carry on bag for short trips! I have received complements from other passengers, and even TSA security and Uber drivers, lol. Shipping took longer than Nomadic originally estimated to arrive, so it the bag missed my first trip, but other than that- everything is fantastic.

Great bag. Really look forward to using it. Really like the laptop bag and compartment.

Great bag overall. Not as much space as you may think due to the tech case. Overall, you can feel the quality when navigating throughout the bag. The pace is the main issue for me personally so if you are looking a lot of space this isn’t the bag for you.

I wanted to wait a little bit before I wrote this, because I’ve been traveling with the new Carry On Pro and I have a couple issues that I have to say I’m disappointed in. 1) Initially, I was a little surprised by the flimsy quality of the tech pocket and in particular I immediately found that because it’s so floppy, it’s hard to get it to latch right and takes some effort to close it correctly. It’s also not really all that fluid pulling the tech bag out from that compartment, so it’s not necessarily a huge time-saver, though I do like the idea behind it a lot. Since the tech pocket is really what makes the difference between the “Carry On” and the “Carry On Pro”, and it’s a significant price difference, I’m honestly surprised to find that it’s not more robust and better designed. 2) More disconcerting to me is that the extendable handle was not good enough to handle a *single* drop without bending significantly. I have a warranty claim in about this already, but when we were leaving our hotel I had my Nomatiic Messenger Bag looped around the Carry On Pro handle (as is recommended), and the bags accidentally tipped over. I wouldn’t normally be too concerned about this, but it turned out that that one fall caused a substantial bend that has made the handle nearly inoperable. I had to try to unbend it and force it back into place to get it to retract so that we could put the bag in the taxi. This seems like a serious issue in construction. The Carry On Pro is at the high end – certainly as high as I would ever consider paying – for luggage, and was more expensive even than the Orvis suitcases I already own. For it not to be able to survive a single fall in what is an incredibly common context is shocking. I’ve been a big Nomatic supporter since the original kickstarter and own several of your products. But right now, this one has not impressed me nearly as much as I’d expected.

Excellent design and build quality! The nice thing about it is, there’s a way to make it almost like a Carry-on Classic, but with a front hatch :).

It is really hard to close the hard cover and makes it really hard to use. I wouldn’t recommend getting it.

BEST luggage set EVER! Rolls along like a premium product, and the functionality is next level! Crossing my fingers the outside doesn’t scratch easy.

Perfect for 2-3 day trips—–weight, size, pouches. Sturdy material, smooth moving around, Tech case, Tech compartment. Love it!

Way over priced for such a small space. The hard shell may be the selling point but if the bag doesn’t hold anything, what’s the point. I would return it if I could. Worst roller bag purchased.

I have every Nomatic product. This is the first one I’ve been disappointed with. There is no room in this bag to pack anything. A tee-shirt and pair of shorts is about it. It’s a rolling bag for your laptop and tablet. The price point of the bag is very high and it’s useless, even for a one-night trip. If I could return it, I would. I’ll be using the Nomatic regular carry-on with the Messenger bag. The idea of the Pro bag is great, but the execution fails.

truly a poorly designed bag; very, very little space for anything besides my laptop, headphone case and a tiny amount of wires/chargers/cables (which don’t fully fit into the other tech half of the bag; the other half of the bag has barely enough room for a pair of shoes, toiletries, and one night’s change of clothes the tech half is designed to close in a manner that risks popping open air failing to close or closing with gaps if there’s any pressure from the stuff inside the bag overall is neither at all flexible nor expandable it basically holds roughly as much as a backpack with far less flexibility; I can stash my backpack under my seat but this needs to go in the overhead compartment; it holds roughly 1/4 as much as my previous carryon, which has the same over all exterior dimensions (Andare Apex)

Build quality is amazing. My one complaint is the matte paint finished used. After one flight with carry on the luggage looks like its been used for 2 years with scratches all over the case.

The tech is my go to for work. The build of the carry on is very high quality, I can’t wait to use it!

Its amazing, looks brand new. Funcitons perfectly and so much room

I have not had an opportunity to use it yet so can’t comment on it but can comment on my initial thought to quality and build. Material looks great and durable. Top hatch seems quite flimsy and makes me worry if it will hold the door well especially with items in pocket. I have yet to pack cloths but seems difficult to put 3 days worth of things with laptop in. Wheels and handle looks very steady. Considering premium price, lack of expandable storage makes it high cost moderate return spectrum. I will update review once I have had opportunity to use it.

Just wish it was a little bigger, especially when I compare this to my other carryon luggage. You can definitely add more to the size and still make it a carryon luggage. I do love the front compartment, it’s a huge benefit to have this from a convenience standpoint.

Travel every week and this bag just became a clear winner for my travel. I can fit everything for 2 nights easy. If I need more I would bring a 2nd carry on that sits on top. Wheels better than bags with same wheels. Well done.
