After using old aluminum presses and trying the fancy Pampered Chef cookie press, this one does the job and cleans up better than the rest. The barrel is small for loading, but that helps the dough move through the barrel well. The lever mechanism for extruding the dough does not always click twice perfectly to portion out the right amount of dough, but once you get used to using it, you can get good results. I use an almond flour recipe in it and it works really well. You have to be sure you follow a spritz recipe exactly, pack the barrel carefully, and use nonstick, un-greased cold cooky sheets. I am left handed and was delighted to experience that this one works no matter which hand is dominant. I would have completely quit making spritz cookies if I had not bought this item.
