I finally opened the box… and discovered it has a grill and not a hot plate like I thought. Perhaps I ordered the wrong one. bummers

Though it says it is a perfect family size the Retro Blue Breakfast Center Toaster Oven is actually much better suited for a single person with limited space. Perhaps a student living in a dorm, or a person in a studio or renting a single room. It is convenient, it has a coffee maker, toaster oven, and griddle all in one unit. The size though while perfectly suited for one person maybe two, would be a hassle for any more than that. It is a really attractive retro design in a lovely turquoise blue, eye catching and useful. I like it.

This three in one toaster oven, grill and coffee maker is a great idea. It would be great in a dorm, an efficiency apartment, etc. with limited space. I’ve made pancakes on the grill, which has a glass cover. I’ve toasted my corn muffins in the toaster oven. They are turned on by a timer dial, set to the amount of time needed. When the bell rings the appliance shuts off. You can make a couple of good size cups of coffee. The filter is permanent, which is a nice feature. I love the vintage look and the aqua color.

came packed in a larger box with some padding to keep it from being damaged. The first thing I like about this unit is it comes with the cover for the griddle, I read reviews on other units that did not include a cover for the griddle so I like that this one does and that is one of the reasons I chose it.Really if you think of it if you plan on cooking bacon you know the bacon fat is going to splatter and fly off the grill the same as it does on any other grill or frying pan.Of course that grease is always hot and burns many people who cook it from the vary hot droplets hitting them while its cooking. Its too bad the cover does not fit on better, kind of odd it is a little bit the wrong size to fit on exactly right. The unit works great it took it 5 min to heat up 2 coffee cups of water as measured on its little pot.the water hit 160 degrees Fahrenheit.in the same time it toasted some toast, the grill heated up to a surface temp of 256 deg. F. in the same time. The cover only heated up to 98 Deg F. sitting on the grill the whole time. The upper oven elements also heat the griddle. The upper elements hit 500 Deg. F.With the lowers closer to 170 Deg. F.It seems like a nice unit and does what it says it can do which is run all 3 different things at the same time.
