This is a fun item and it works. You can cook your hot dogs and warm your bun all at once. No need to run the oven nor the microwave. And best of all they always come out just right. Great for parties and for after school snacks. I love that it is retro style which goes well with some other items I have like the popcorn maker too. It is certainly a conversation piece. This RETRO SERIES POP-UP HOT DOG TOASTER is one of those products that caught my interest. Unique because it can cook/grill a hot dog just like if you would pop a piece of bread in a regular toaster, just that easy! It’s best to let the unit run a few times to burn off the manufacturing oils that exist on most heating types of appliances. Use regular dogs not the ones that plump when you cook them (they expand a little too much and will get stuck)! Other than that it’s works as described.

At first, I was skeptical if this really worked. However, after using this to cook just one hot dog, I was convinced. This is a really fun way to prepare frankfurters and rolls in record time ! Cooks the meat and rolls perfectly, every time. No problem removing them either, using the included tongs. We even learned that separated hamburger rolls fit and heat perfectly also ! I really do love that I can make very fast hot dogs with absolutely no mess. Great for lunch, dinner, or snack time ! Easy clean up too, plus looks great on the counter. All around a definite win !
