It is very easy and convenient to use. The one thing I would recommend is to put a pan with holes in the bottom and another under it to catch the kernals that did not pop. Cleaning it is a bit of a pain in the butt. I have spent many hours at my uncles movie theater using a professional / bigger machine and it was a whole lot easier to keep clean. I do realize that you get what you pay for. Another option that would be nice is a small scoop.

Smaller than anticipated (10 cups sounds like a lot, but a cup of popcorn isn’t much), but works very well and as advertised. Making a batch is quick, so small size isn’t an issue for keeping up with the popcorn enthusiasts in the family. Recommend.

However, this was supposed to be a present for Christmas and I wasn’t aware that it wasn’t going to come inside another box. So the person receiving it already knows what they are getting because they were home when it came.

I used to work in a theater as a doorman many decades ago before video at home was priactical, and cable TV was only for the well to do, and not available in every area.As a result, we were very busy handling crowds during the week, and especially on weekends and holidays.We also popped our own popcorn on site using a Cretors professional kettle popper.I have always loved good theater popcorn, sans butter, and learned how to make it properly using good equipment and quality ingredients.I made my own popcorn at home, using the techniques I learned at he Cinema, using a heavy cast aluminum double boiler, good quality yellow popcorn, and high quality oil.I had promised myself, that whenever I had the time and the space, I would obtain a real popcorn kettle like those at bars and specialty restaurants and stores, just to enjoy the Cinema experience again.I ordered this unit online, after much shopping, because it was the best value compared to the other units available.My only regret is that had I been able to see the physical size first, I might have knuckled down and purchased a larger, more expensive unit.This unit is fine for a couple enjoying a movie night, or a single person (like me) who enjoys kettle popped popcorn without the mess in the kitchen. It is even large enough to accommodate several children.But I believe that a large family of more than 3 members, or anyone who is entertaining company, should invest in a larger, higher capacity unit.This one operates just fine, pops well, is easy to use, but the volume is limited by the overall size of the interior, and the kettle assembly crowds the bin area and access to serve the popcorn.Aside from that issue, it does work very well, is easy to operate, the seeds are limited, the popcorn is tasty and fluffy, and the entire unit is easily cleaned and serviced.I would heartily recommend this for a couple, or very small family, to enhance their entertainment experiences at home.But for larger families or groups, I would recommend a larger industrial popping kettle, with a larger popping and serving capacity!
